I KNOW in my heart that this console is going to be the best thing for my family and I, for a shared family gaming environment, since our last Intellivision, and I also KNOW that with You and Your Team, the sky is the limit!

Continue to endeavor to persevere Sir, and We HERE are All behind You!

I've been binge watching TT interviews/talks over the last few weeks and everything i've seen and heard gives me the warm and fuzzies.  Tommy is so passionate about this project, has such a history of success that you can't help but be swept up in the excitement.  I can't wait to introduce my kids to the Intellivision, as I was introduced to gaming all those years ago. I have no doubt that the variety of games and styles will be enough to draw them away from their Xbox and start playing together as a family on the new Amico.  Crossing my fingers for some good news about a launch date despite all the issues in the world right now.   The community is behind you and your team Tommy!

BTW Tommy: I just saw a new YT video from our "friend" that somehow tries so sling dirt at you.

Just wanted to let you know that I thought it was very funny and in line with the type of silly humor I do myself - so he kinda let people know what a down-to-earth guy you are.

I'll have it up first unless you cheat again.  If you do that, I win by default, lol.

I just need to officially state that @OEB_Pete was able to post the video here BEFORE @Intellivision Master!  That is an incredible feat and BONUS POINTS should be awarded!  I've only been able to do that once and I totally cheated!

:)

Great episode guys!  So great to see all of you in one place talking about Amico!

Yeah though now I am champ I am officially giving the reigns back to @Intellivision Master as the stress was to much!

THANK YOU so much for your SUPPORT!!!!!!

It's been a bit difficult for me personally thinking about the 10/10 date and how it relates to my sister and family.  I had a long talk with my mom over the weekend about the possibilities of the date sliding.  She was very understanding of course... but I'd be lying if I said she didn't start to cry a bit.  :(  Not because of the console itself, but how important she knows the date was for me in regards to my sister.

Last week we had about a 50/50 chance of hitting 10/10.  Now that California is majorly closed down once again (and worse than before)... I'd say our chances of hitting 10/10 are now at about 20%.  We just can not legally put out a piece of electronics without all the proper compliance testing.  If anyone can tell me when California will open up and when COVID will be over... I'd appreciate it.  Ha!

Next week will be a 10% chance and the week after (end of July) would be the end for 10/10.  But we are STILL working hard to hit it!  Completely 100% out of our control at this point... but still trying our best.

But how about some GOOD news!!!

Within the next hour or so we'll be releasing a big press announcement that is going out over the wire across the U.S.!  Will share it here when I get a chance (and if @Intellivision Master doesn't beat me to it!).

:)

Thank you all again for your support and understanding.  No one in a million years would have predicted something like this.  Especially 3 years ago when we were putting our timelines together.  But the great news is that no matter if the launch is delayed... it will just give us even more time to have more games ready on launch, more partners to announce, and more cool things to announce and put in place, etc.

Appreciate you all!

Tommy this is dedicated to you, your family and your team... Be strong, guys!

my company like yours was rolling out our biggest product this year and this virus has slowed it down and pushed back delivery dates and adoption dates etc since state and local govt have been affected in various ways and while it is has sucked on many levels, on one level we have found it hasnt.  Quality assurance.

With the extra time and with the pressure off to early deliver to some of our largest clients, our team has really had the chance to kick the tires and go over the software in ways that we wouldnt have had the chance to do without this "soft release"   We have found a few things we all kinda looked at each other and said " jesus that could of been an ugly had that gotten out without us finding it"  We have had three such events this year and while we are really careful there is always gremlins that are good at hiding, and with this being vital govt software there isnt much room for error.  So as much as this virus has cost us, it may actually be saving us in the long run via allowing us to really quality check the hell out of the product.  I suspect this may be the same for Amico in the long run.  Sucks now for sure, but there is an opportunity here to really kick the tires and check under the hood and make sure the mass release is silky smooth and without incident.

BOOM!!!

So proud and happy to finally be able to officially announce 3 more incredible sports partnerships, licenses and games coming exclusively to Intellivision Amico! Evel Knievel was one of my heroes growing up (of course I had the toy!!) and I've been a huge fan and supporter of MLB my entire life... so this is all yet another childhood dream come true for me!

INTELLIVISION ENTERTAINMENT™ REVEALS EXCITING NEW LICENSES TO EXPAND ITS DIVERSE PORTFOLIO OF SPORTS THEMED VIDEO GAMES

All-Star Licenses to Include Major League Baseball, Evel Knievel and The American Cornhole League Available Exclusively on Intellivision Amico™

IRVINE, Calif. – July 16, 2020 – Intellivision Entertainment LLC, the video game industry pioneer, announced today several of their latest licensing agreements, which focus on sports-themed games, include Major League Baseball, Evel Knievel, and the American Cornhole League. These partnerships bring additional highly-recognized brands to Intellivision Amico™ through a series of officially licensed games that are simple and fun for the whole family.

“My early memories of playing the original Intellivision Major League Baseball game with my dad and brother helped inspire our vision to launch Amico,” said Intellivision CEO and President, Tommy Tallarico. “Looking to the future, Intellivision is proud to offer a wide breadth of content for everyone in the family to enjoy from favorite sports and recreational games to thrilling, daredevil action. We continue to diversify our portfolio and gameplay experiences for Amico.”

Major League Baseball
The licensing deal between MLB and Intellivision comes 41 years after the two groups launched their first partnership. That historic collaboration represented the first video game license with a professional sports league – a pioneering trend in the industry that Intellivision embraced across almost every sport. Unlike anything available at the time, Intellivision’s Major League Baseball™ game was the first home video game ever to feature spoken voice (e.g. “YER OUT!”). The original Major League Baseball is the best-selling Intellivision game of all time with approximately one in three Intellivision households owning the title. Bringing yet another first to the baseball video game industry, Intellivision’s MLB licensed game will introduce a competitive play option. This option will allow multiple players to join in the fun and set up head-to-head competition in different ways or all versus the computer. All 30 current MLB teams will be featured.

“Baseball video games have brought family and friends together for more than 40 years. Our renewed partnership with Intellivision continues that tradition with simplicity and fun for the whole family,” said Senior Vice President, Games and VR, Jamie Leece. “We look forward to joining Intellivision with the shared mission of bringing family and friends together with the love of the game and passion for our sport.”

Evel Knievel
Paying homage to the Knievel legacy, Intellivision is working with the Evel Knievel Family and Barnstorm Games to bring an exciting multiplayer game to the Amico platform. The updated version of the Evel Knievel game will feature enhanced graphics, sound, and art, plus a variety of multiplayer options utilizing Amico’s unique controllers. In addition to new levels and gameplay features, more action such as the Skycycle X-2 rocket that was used in his infamous Snake River Canyon jump in 1974 will be added.

"My dad was a larger than life character who was a hero and inspiration to millions of people,”’ said Kelly Knievel, son of Evel Knievel. “We are excited to work with Intellivision to keep his legacy alive, introduce his bold spirit to a new generation of fans, and take the thrill of the jump from the arena to the living room on Amico.”

American Cornhole League
Developed exclusively for the Amico system with some of the world’s greatest professional cornhole players, the American Cornhole League, which has been broadcasted on ESPN since 2016, is bringing America’s fastest-growing recreational sport into the living room. With the intention of providing a game for everyone in the family, regardless of skill level, users can utilize the unique Amico controller with touchscreen and motion controls. Gameplay is available in career, arcade, multiplayer, or free play mode and features over 100 unlockables, multiple challenges, skill levels and ways to play – no summer BBQ picnic required.

“We are thrilled to work alongside Intellivision and some of the world’s greatest players and to bring cornhole to the Amico console,” said Stacey Moore, Commissioner and Founder of the American Cornhole League. “We cannot wait for people to experience throwing ACL virtual bags in the comfort of their own home.”

Intellivision is currently working on many more exciting partnerships in preparation for the Amico system launch. For more information please visit www.IntellivisionAmico.com.

I didn't know the American Cornhole League was a thing 😁

Cool to see official licenses on board, hoping for more to come like NHL, NFL etc.

Hmm...ATP and WTA for tennis...wouldn't that be something?

Wow it is just amazing how things have come full circle. To think one of the cornerstones of the original Intellivision, licensed sport franchise games, is back in such a huge way with Major League Baseball and some new upstart sports like American Cornhole League really speaks to honoring the memory of the Intellivision, but in a fresh new way. Of course I love me some Evel Freak'n Knievel too - so this is a great announcement across the board.

I can’t believe how often I’m channel surfing, run across Cornhole, then land for awhile. It doesn’t seem like it should, but it can really suck you in.

I'd add to your list a PC game I used to enjoy... Kings of the Beach (if I recall the title correctly). I was really into watching Beach Volleyball in the 80s & 90s. The computer game was enjoyable and had a lot of the players of the day in the game.... Smith, Stoklos, Hovland, Dodd, etc.

Awesome update!

Getting MLB officially onboard with the Amico is spectacular news. I cannot wait to see what you all come up with for the game. It will have some pretty big shoes to fill for the retro gaming community familiar with the original Intellivision title; but I expect the Amico game will be just as fun and impressive.

It is also great to get some additional information on the Evel Knievel game, coming to the Amico with with improved sounds and graphics and new content and levels. Hopefully this will take some of the wind out of the sails of their complaints over the game (probably not; but one can still always hope!).

Honestly, I am not familiar with the 'American Cornhole League' but being in Canada that might not be as surprising. I do know it is a very popular game though, and having the backing of the official American league certainly will be a good thing for the Amico. This could become the 'Wii Bowling' for the Amico, where some will be interested in the unit just for the ability to play Cornhole without the physical space required or a need for setting up a physical board.

This is all great news, and I cannot wait to get to be able to try out these games for myself!

Fun to see MLB return to Intellivision after all these decades. This is a must have.

The American Cornhole League license is kind of a throwback to ABPA Backgammon. Who licenses a Backgammon game? Intellivision. Who licenses a cornhole game? Intellivision.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ABPA_Backgammon

I totally forgot about Backgammon cause I never owned that game.  You're right though, gives a certain level of professionalism when you see official licenses onboard.

This is fantastic! Now the hard part will be deciding which of my teams I'll play as. It was easy to choose back in the day: Red or blue?

I'm looking forward to taking the Brew Crew out onto the field.  Guess I'll be playing as blue again.
