I think this could be super fun for a family get together. It has a Jackbox feel to it. Got it downloaded. It has in app purchases but free to download.

Yep.  Super fun party game and making a ton of exclusive content for Amico.

 

Typical example of a game that got lost in the 1,000 games per week uncurated mobile cesspool. 

We're putting lots of money into it to make it the best game possible and the developer is loving us for it.

Yes.  Emoji's are absolutely copywritten.... unless of course you make your own or pay a license (like we did).

I personally don't see it as a problem if Amico gets a few (custom made) ports. Switch haters also bash the system for having too many ports after all... But most games just play better on the Switch, and it seems that this Emoji Charades for instance will be more convenient on Amico as well, since you won't have to exchange codes.

I don't have a smartphone since I don't see the purpose in spending that much money when my 5000 yen prepaid phone works just fine, so I don't care what is or is not available on phones since I literally can't play it anyway. I'll judge stuff for myself after playing whatever I'm interested in when the system/games get released.

Yeah. I think part of the problem is that Intellivision said all games are exclusive when as someone said in the other thread that it will have exclusive content, or controller features. Obviously there will be exclusive games too, but I wouldn't say the two games in question are exclusive because they aren't. They may have extra content that is exclusive, but the game,? Nope it is on multiple platforms.

 

I would equate it to Mario Kart 8. It was exclusive to WiiU until Switch put out Deluxe. I wouldn't say Mario Kart 8 is exclusive on Switch because it comes with the extras. I would just say the Switch one comes with extras.

Why would you have an independent Amico discussion thread but then put Tommy Tallarico, the guy making it, on the "no post" list and cause him to constantly have to defend himself?

 

Is this just going to become a Taco Amico thread in disguise? 

 

Right now all it looks like is MrBeefy is bashing Emoji Charades because it's available on phones. 

 

 

I have a good idea: Don't buy the game you don't want on the system. 

 

If it has no games you want, don't buy the system

Tommy said every game they make is exclusive to the Amico. He never once said other games are barred from the platform. He has said multiple times if he brings ports of other games he ideally wants them to have unique features. 

 

You're creating a non-existent "problem" because that's what you guys do.

 

You think you've arrived at a "Gotcha!" moment and you haven't.

 

He deliberately put those in the trailer - he's aware of what he's said in the past, and what he's showing off. You're obviously not aware of how many times he's said they'll port other games if they're Amico appropriate.
