Whats the worst game that could be brought to the Amico?

Worst? Besides the obvious duds from yesterday decades? I think Defender. Might not be a popular choice but some games just don't lend themselves to be remade.

Well that won't help with exposure to the hardcore crowd. Even if it is just fewer hands on impression reviews of the console.

oh now that's a low blow, Bacon Boy.  😂  Obviously the answer is Crysis.

For a more serious answer, I think games like 'Way of the Exploding Fist' or 'Flashback' would not be ideally suited for the Amico- or anything that requires a template of more than about 10 keys.

Just realized, I guess there'll be a lot of quarantined families looking for some couch co-op soon...

Yup. It's only 30 minutes away from me. Guess if the cholesterol from the bacon doesn't get to me first it's going to try.

Never was able to get excited about Flashback. Looks really cool though. What about Dig Dug 2?

Wouldn't it be cool to see an Ape Escape multi-player 2D game on the Amico?

I know it's a Sony product but they aren't doing anything with it and a 2D take on it would be a whole new thing. It could possibly have more puzzles and people could play as fellow catchers or as the monkeys.

That would be fun!!

How about a Bomber Man game were as you are playing normally on the T.V. but in addition there is a blinking bomb on the screen of one of the controllers. The person could "pass" it to other players in a sort of hot potato way until it explodes.

Don't know much about Ape Escape but sounds like a good idea.

What about a bomb diffuser mini game?

Let's be honest E3 is kind of redundant in this day and age when its much easier and cheaper to just throw out a direct video.

Pretty sure that was Intellivision's plan anyways this year, just post a prerecorded direct.  I highly doubt they were going to have a live press event.  That costs a lot of money.

They mentioned an E3 press conference a couple of times in the q&a thread.  As an alternative they also mentioned taking an Amico prototype directly to the press for them to play.

Yeah it was mentioned but is kind of a mute point now. I agree some with @SegaSnatcher it would be easier to do a direct video.

The part I disagree with is with additional coverage. Not saying it won't happen but it would have been nice to have some gameplay hands on reviews from other sources. A direct video will be good but how different will it be than what we've seen in hours and hours of YouTube videos?

Well, that's definitely a moot point.

I wouldn't call it redundant. It still opened up exposure to those who are there to report the latest news and events for the rest of us. Sure, anybody can release a video, but having demos for reporters to play with first-hand does a lot to spread hype and impressions.

Well, it seems I have somehow not been in this thread for a week. I was distracted by the PC Engine and FPGA threads.

No E3 = Gamescom in August, I guess. Nothing to do now but wait to see what Intellivision will do in the next 3~4 months. There is a trailer coming very soon, but I forgot if there was anything else planned for the next 3 months aside from E3, which is now un-planned since it's not going to happen. There is no rush, though I am curious to see if all of the stuff that was going to be announced at E3 will be saved until Gamescom or shown online or something.

Actually, for my fellow non-Europeans, what do you think of Gamescom? I never remember it exists until I read the news about stuff being announced there. The only video game convention I have ever been to is Tokyo Game Show (which isn't in Tokyo or even in Tokyo Prefecture, by the way, and it isn't very exciting, so I only ever go to see Kojima and then insta-leave), but the difference in time zones means I always just end up reading the news that I am interested in on Gematsu or wherever instead. I always skip the trailers and the videos and stuff. This also has the benefit of me playing new games more or less knowing basically nothing about the game, so I got to experience stuff like Fire Emblem and Death Stranding without any knowledge of anything. I imagine most non-European people probably have the same experience with Gamescom that I do with both Gamescom and E3.

That will be the biggest thing IE will miss out on. They can say it will be great. But having an independent source say it will carry more weight and help people take notice.

This will still happen without E3.
