IE needs pet items in their store. Banking, pharmaceuticals, kids and pets; that’s where the money is to be made.

Examples - Running Man with leashed dog graphic dog bowls, pet bags and auto vinyl stickers, Amico dog hats & running man leashes and collars.

Hahahhaa!

So great!

I smell another potential competition!  Cutest pet pic with Intellivision gear!

Hey Tommy,

My selfish choice is 1.  But I think you don't need to have the conversation about how all those games are a Work in Progress.

I think 2 would be an amazing video. (Don't give away too much as you want to save some surprises). Same with the console. Keep some of the cool things in your pocket.

Call these hybrids of 3:

Think of it as not really an interview. An open "letter" to people interested in the system. Or even on the fence. Get people that have been in the industry for a bit. Especially people who have worked on previous platforms. Or even the 3 newest ones. Showcasing what makes the Amico different. Have them address some of the criticisms of the Amico. Including the perceived lack of power of the system. Show off something cool about the system that none of the others can do.

Another version of 3 would be to have some of the backers come out and say why they have backed the Amico. While not mentioning by name, they could compare the other crowd sourced consoles out there and how this is different.

The more I think about it.. A montage of #5 would be pretty cool -  Ask the focus group/moms/seniors/devs one question: Something along the lines of "What was your favorite part of the system"? OR "What surprised you the most after playing the system"? If they give you answers about aspects of the system that you have not yet revealed... Put a censored mark over their lips like they are swearing.  With a disclaimer at the beginning of the video about the bleeping of the words. Keep it humorous.

Sneak Reggie into any of the videos as Soccer dad 12...  Or Partner number 18...  And have him talk about the console.

Great feedback!  Thanks!

Tommy,

There's a game called the Great Giana Sisters.  The game has a neat story and also has some cool power ups and items.  This game was on many platforms.  It had 5 sequels.  The first game looks similar to Super Mario Bros.  But it has a different story, characters, etc.  Would you consider having the original game on Amico?  It would be great to see this get re-imagined.

Yep!  Very aware!  Chris Huelsbeck soundtrack as well!  We've spoken to them about it.  Big in Europe but almost non-existent here in the U.S.  But could make for a great Retro Reimagined title.

Glad to hear it.  Hopefully it does get re-imagined.  Perhaps there can be a spinoff called The Great Giana Brothers.  It could be an Amico exclusive.  Wouldn't that be something?

Here's the scan of the 2 page feature article from Edge magazine that came out a few weeks ago!

As some of you may know, Edge magazine is probably the biggest and most revered and prestigious video game magazine in Europe.

Pretty cool!

Is this a confirmation of a certain game that we've all asked about?

I'm asking Bit.. 'Cause Bit knows all: Bit?

TRON Bit "YES" - GIF on Imgur

Bit says YES!

I really hope so.  Maybe the person who wrote this article knows something we don't.  It would be awesome if Tron was a launch title.  Or perhaps Tron comes out a month or so after launch.  Whatever the case, I'm hoping Tommy gets the license from Disney.  I know he's been talking with them about it.

It seems as if there's going to be a sequel to the Last Star Fighter movie.  I hope it comes true.  I've seen the original & own it on tape.  The movie ends on a cliffhanger.  So, having a sequel would be awesome.  Hopefully it continues where it left off.  Also, if the sequel comes out, it would be cool to have the game as an exclusive on Amico.

I enjoyed Giana Sisters Twisted Dreams and think it would fit well on the Amico. It already has multiple difficulties and the pretty simple transform mechanic, and platforming would probably translate well to this system and demographic.

I know it's not as popular outside Europe. I'm in the US and Twisted Dreams was the first one I played, but I think it's highly underrated.

@Tommy Tallarico Really appreciate the last few videos. I can't speak for everyone but as a retro and indie enthusiast, I'd like to see is more game footage and info coming straight from the Amico devs and partners. You know people love content, so keeping things content-packed even if shorter would probably be popular.

Kindly agree to disagree with woobman on not needing to say everything is a work-in-progress, but even a short reminder that something is in alpha or beta stage, or even just a "WIP" watermark or wording int he video title would help.

Absolutely AMAZING documentary on the work we did in the early/mid 90's!

Wow!

Pretty awesome to think that most of the folks who did all this are now working at or with Intellivision right now!

Hi Tommy, is there any chance of you showing some more game play footage of the pack in games, so we can see how they have progressed. Cheers 😀👍

Great video Tommy.  Thanks for posting.  I had no idea so much hand-drawn animation was used in these games.  I personally did not own any, as I had moved on to PC/Amiga format, but I do remember playing Pitfall II and a few others like Earthworm Jim.  I often wondered how and why they looked so dramatic and fluid as compared to other games that did not used this style.

Goes to show how deep and detailed a "simple" game can be.

I second this.  Oh and Tommy, please tell us what the 6th pack in game is this month.  Pretty please.  I'm just kidding.  I know you want to wait until closer to launch.

Some game footage I'd like to see that we haven't seen much of yet is ANY sports title.  Right now we've seen skiing and a very early sneak peak of baseball. I'm looking for anything else you can show an early preview of...football, hockey, tennis, basketball...you choose Tommy. :)

Welcome DJC.  I checked your profile & saw that your first post for the Q&A was back in November 2020.  Somehow I missed that, lol.  But anyway glad to have you here.  Also, I didn't come across your YT channel until December 2020 when you started doing Amico videos.  So, I first got to know you from YT.  Before that I had no clue who you were, lol.  I didn't make the connection back when you began posting in here.  But since seeing you in here again has helped me connect the dots.  Anyway, it's all good.  I hope you stick around.  We have fun here.

For sure!  The next 2 or 3 videos will probably be focused around the pack-in games.

BTW... ALL of the pack-in games have already been rated by the various rating systems across Europe & the UK!

Baseball, Cornhole, Pool, Skiing and Soccer are definitely ones that are in our sites in regards to showing more over the next month or two!
