This is my absolute favourite so far. Not even close. Cloudy Mountain next? 🤔 @Tommy Tallarico please add this to your Wonka book. Add to top of Amico Special Editions list.

YES! This one is absolutely amazing. I'll take 5 of them!!  Night Stalker is probably my most anticipated game, and this mock up looks insanely beautiful.

A lot of questions that folks have been asking were answered in the live stream interview I did last night with Nick from Geeks With Cash.

For those who may have missed it, it was a good one last night!  Included short tour, talking with Intellivision hardware tech/designers, dev kit reveals and CFO Nick even shows up to give me crap.  :)

Lots of new info and reveals.

I've also heard you mention that the hardware is 99.8% (or 99.9%) done. This leads me to my question - Has this delay changed anything on the hardware front? I think it was about this time last year that you doubled the onboard storage. With some of the parts shortages going on. Has this changed anything else?  I know the quality will be there, so I'm not worried. Has the delay caused a "rethink" on the lifecycle of some of the components? For example: The Snapdragon (whatever model it is) is one year older than when you chose it and were expecting it on market. That means one year closer to the end of life cycle for that specific chip. Are you going with a different model than original Amico test machines? Same with other components.

Great question!  No, nothing has changed in that regards.  Even the smallest of changes (especially the main Snapdragon chip) could have adverse effects all the way down the line.  We've been somewhat locked down with all the internal stuff since the end of last summer.  Rigorous testing of every aspect since then.  Even in the live stream interview last night we saw our guys do final stress test stuff for the haptics in the controller.  Changing even the smallest of the important things could mean another few weeks or months of testing.

Great question.

With spring coming up, maybe there can be another discount code for the IE shop.  Lets go for buy one get one free.  Lol.

Considering we make such a small margin on everything there (because of the high quality of the products offered) I was thinking about doing a PREMIUM code where everything was 25% more expensive!

Thoughts?

😜😇🥰🤣

In order for people to receive their founders editions before october 10, they would have to ship well before october 9.

Correct.  And everyone is in different parts of the country/world so pinpointing and exact date for everyone is near impossible.

Hahaha!  Hilarious!

It is kinda funny (and really creepy) that the obsessed hater stalker trolls literally have to lie about everything at this point.

And the funniest part... is that they are the ones lying all the time.

Project much?

:)

Psychotic?  Jealous?  Obsessed?  Unintelligent?  Immature?

All of the above?

:D :D :D

Tommy,

There have been rumors of a Nintendo Switch Pro for a long time.  If Nintendo does in fact make a new Switch model and it comes out this fall,  are you concerned that it might hinder the launch success of the Amico?

Not at all.  A "Pro" system is even farther away from what we are doing.   :)

You could give a Nintendo Switch to my mom or dad or wife for FREE and they still wouldn't play it.

Nothing against Nintendo... they would do the same with an Xbox or PS5 as well.

Different audience & demographic for the most part.

I know you directed this to Tommy but here is my take. I am not in the market for an XBox Series X Pro or upgraded model, PlayStation 5 Pro (or upgrade) or a Switch Pro (or upgrade) because I am not in the market for an XBox Series X, PlayStation 5 or a Switch. I am not holding out to buy a Switch for an improved OLED screen or the possibility to play in 4k (how well are many of those Switch games going to scale anyway?). These improvements don't really change what the Switch *is* which also means they barely move the needle in my interest level (which is some, but not enough to buy one).

Bingo!  Nailed it.

Good to know.  I'm just concerned that the spotlight might be taken away from Amico if another console releases at the same time.  But like you said, different audience and demographic for the most part.  Again I want Amico to succeed.  Hopefully all goes well.

@Tommy Tallarico I got a few questions on the above list.

1) Assuming IE gets the Indiana Jones license, would you envision a Raiders of the Lost Ark story arc or do you think the game would be keyed to something different (like a tie-in with the upcoming movie)?  Hoping for a RotLA based game...

I'd love to just remake the first movie and put it in game form!!

2) Would you look to seek a Battlestar Galactica license for the Space Battle title?  There is both a series reboot and new movie reportedly in work...

Potentially!  We haven't spoken to anyone over there about BG, but not opposed to the idea if the reboot is looking good.

3) More a comment than a question - While I generally agree with you on the pixel art argument, I can say that I dont really like the switch version of Burgertime; as for one I find it too cartoony for my taste (for this particular game)and two, you end up blowing through so many levels so quickly that you don't really get to appreciate them individually.

I TOTALLY agree 100%!  I don't like it either.  Art styles are very subjective, but there is something that just seems to be off with the look and especially the animations of the Switch Burgertime.  It's a fun game to play... I just don't like the look and don't feel it captures the original vibe of the original game.

Ours will be closer in overall vibe to the original... but with great looking animations, backgrounds, characters and levels... and of course mulitplayer/co-op/versus modes.

Did I mention that it will be exclusive?

:)

I think Intellivision Master is concerned about IE's ability to market the Amico, on the off chance that consoles from larger companies launch around the same time.

In particular, Nintendo is famous for being "The Family Friendly Platform", at least in the United States. That reputation might supersede the exact "family friendliness" of the Switch itself.

The people and partnerships we have are very unique and different to anything Nintendo has done in the past.   :)

It's a different audience and demographic.  Yes there is some cross-over but when compared to a Switch... the simple, affordable, family, co-op, value and trust categories shine on Amico.

I'm not saying it's going to be easy... I'm just saying we have a great plan and are excited about how we are approaching things.

Good point, but I suspect the Amico advertising will be totally different and directed at different people than Switch advertising. Also think about how Nintendo would likely advertise an improved Switch - the emphasis will be on how this one is better & existing users should upgrade. "Now play your Switch in 4K!", shot of 20 something finger twiddling in front of a huge TV to imply it is 4K (no family friendly mention there). Now with a bigger screen (maybe some 40 somethings with 40 something eyes take note of that point). But again, I don't see it being feature targeted against the Amico audience.

There is an assumption that people who haven't bought something have never heard of it, however I think the VAST majority of people have heard of a Switch. They have already made a mental check mark on if they want one or not. Of course that is actually more a percentage of 'want' which can vary over time - a lot of fence sitters got one when the pandemic stranded everyone at home, for example. However a lot of people simply tune out Switch advertising because they have already made up their minds, it doesn't matter if it 4K and has a slightly bigger OLED display. That isn't going to make grams jump off the couch and suddenly want one - again the Switch is still fundamentally the same thing just with a new coat of paint. They aren't reaching a significantly different market.

Damn you're good!

:)
