I'm hoping we get a new Amico video soon.  If we're lucky there might be 2 videos this week.

It has been very quiet this month. Come on Tommy, start dangling that carrot again! 👍🤣

Tommy,

The Running Man game is an endless runner.  Will there be different speed modes?  Such as a very fast speed, normal speed, then have a slow motion speed.  With the slow motion, it could be like bullet dodging from the Matrix movie.  As you run in the game, the Running Man has to dodge certain obstacles, hazards, enemies, etc.  It would be neat to have a slow motion option.  Maybe have a glitch mode where the Running Man is having lag.  Lol.

That is certainly a surprise!

But reading up on the article, I can see why. It does sound like the Amico is more or less finished in the hardware development side of things and is now just waiting on the various electronic components needed to actually build the consoles to be available.

So really the main part of his job is finished. If he has another project lined up it would make sense for him to concentrate his energy on that and remain available as a consultant for Intellivision if something pops up.

Still, the news is kind of a downer... he certainly is a big name and well known in console design, and having him attached to Intellivision and the Amico was I think a nice boost in getting them a bit more consumer attention.

It makes sense, but the line where he says “no drama, just not a good fit” may indicate otherwise

Perhaps? I just took it as him being a hardware guy and the hardware essentially finished, that he found the position of Global Managing Director not something he was really interested in anymore. Hence the 'just not a good fit'. If he had another project come along that he was excited about working on, it does seem reasonable he would change over to working on it.

The article did mention he was still making himself available as an advisor for Intellivision as needed, so I really think he was stating the truth when he said 'No drama'. He just decided to move on to another idea and project he was interested in that maybe needed and challenged him a bit more then Intellivision and the Amico do currently.

Stuck at waiting on parts to start building consoles is not very exciting after all I expect.

I know this would drive up the cost of the unit. I can dream can't I?  I had a really interesting idea to set the Amico apart from everyone else even more:

At least one of the pack-in games deserves a physical release. I would love to see a pack-in PHYSICAL release.  Imagine, out of the box, both the physical and digital experience of the Amico.

While I don't know what Day One games will be physical, however , I can say that there will be a few in my household. :)
