Seeing that big ass Saturn controller really threw me for a loop!  I forgot how crazy and huge that thing was!

You should see the XE-1AP~ I finally got one the other day.

The XE-1AP is extremely light and comfortable. Yes, light and comfortable, as weird as that may seem.

Life got weird for a while around the turn of the millennium. Was the Duke the last mass produced big honkin game pad?

I hope this is no bad sign for the intended Amico release!

Probably another delay...hard to imagine Amico gets released in October with all that is going on.

Everyone so far who has played with the Amico controller so far has absolutely loved it and says the same thing... until you have it in your hands and see the way it interacts with the games... it's hard to explain or put into words.

I've been saying the same thing for a few years now.  I'm glad that others are getting a chance to play it and having the same "WOW" factor reaction.

I really look forward to everyone trying it for themselves.  It's not what you think until you play it.  Games are being made around the disc and screen and buttons in really unique ways.  Animations and gameplay crafted around the controller, etc.  Some really cool and unique things happening.

Haha.

I have to say I've never been in a Ferrari, but I *did* drive a Lamborghini while I was in Italy and I was only 12 years old.

This is a true story.

For those of you who may not know, Lamborghini started out as a tractor company, anyway my aunt and uncle in Italy had a Lamborghini tractor and they let me drive it (with them on board beside me of course) while I was vacationing in Italy as a kid.  To this day I still tell people I drove a Lamborghini in Italy lol

Hahahha!  That's an awesome story!  And yes... 100% true!

In fact there's even a lot more to the Lamborghini/Ferrari story and how/why Lamborghini went from tractors to cars!

Great mini doc here:

Moral of the story... never tell an Italian he CAN'T do something.

:D

I haven't.  Thanks for letting me know.

There is a lot of stuff going on there on screen.  A little confusing to watch as a trailer... but folks say the same thing about our Missile Command and Astrosmash trailers, but when you're playing and focused on just your area, it's not complication or overbearing at all.

Tommy ........please pretty please show some local leaderboards on a few games ! I really want to see what they look like !!

Each local leaderboard looks different within the game.  The online leaderboards will all be the same, but local leaderboards fit within each game.  Meaning... Astrosmash local leaderboards look totally different from Missile Command local leaderboards and they both look like they match are within each game.

Having a lot of money is no ”vaccin” for being a scammer, in fact i would argue that rich persons would often be more likely to come up with complex business scams. However, in this case it’s not only Tommy, he would have had to get all these industry veterans to leave great jobs/careers to be in on the scam, well known and established manufacturers and developers to actually create “fake” hardware and software, make licensing deals with known and established company’s, distribution and marketing deals with distributors and dealers, for example Media Markt sending out a Press release and taking preorders, and GameStop having in store marketing campaign and taking pre orders. That’s a lot of people that is going to have to get a cut of the fully refundable pre order money, not a lot of money considering the incredible amount of work put in over several years and involving that many people, just saying, to actually release a real console might be easier 😅

I just think it's funny that these know nothing hater stalkers have clearly never owned or started a business of their own so don't have the knowledge or experience to know that founders spend more of their own time, risk and money than anyone.  If I'm a scammer... I'm the worst one ever as I've scammed MYSELF out of about $1M at this point.   :)

All of their silly false narratives have fallen away so they just resort to making up lies in hopes that someone will give them the attention they so eagerly crave.  They aren't self-aware or mature enough to understand how foolish they look at this point.  That's why I stopped interacting or watching/reading any of their garbage.  I quickly found out that they don't care about what the truth is... they are only looking to get a response from me (because I guess they crave my attention so much).  I cut off their oxygen about a month ago so I'm sure their idiotic theories will continue to get bigger and more ridiculous as we continue to win and get closer to launch.

:)

A very good video that should put things into perspective. He mentions the Analogue Pocket being delayed.  Also goes into a lot of other areas. He has nothing to do with Amico. I'm not sure if he's even mentioned it ever in his videos.  Just an all around good watch.  Talks about Just in Time manufacturing/shipping. Manufacturing containers. Even the cost of shipping has gone up almost 200%. A ton of interesting points of view. A certain Transparent CEO that posts here once in a while has said most of these talking points for quite a while.  Just a good watch. Highly recommended.

Thanks for posting.  Great watch.

Yep.  I've been saying the exact thing for almost a year now... and especially over the past 5 months.

I will always continue to be honest & transparent as I have from the very beginning.

We are definitely having issues (like everyone) on even finding certain parts... let alone the high prices they are going for.  It's getting worse out there... not better.

But we are still aiming to get 100,000 units into the market by October 10th.  That is our goal.  We'll know a lot more info come July when we start to go into production.  At that point we should know how many we'll be shipping around the world.

Big props for his Timex Sinclair 1000 in the background!  My first ever computer!

Also in my opinion it’s a waste of time at this point do do more interviews trying to convince people that this console is one they will enjoy. Time would be way better spent on getting the console released. There is no end in trying to convince people that the console is good or bad or whatever ........for some it’s good and for some it isn’t for them. The end

Exactly!  100%!

I could do that in the beginning... but at this point my plate is pretty full with stuff that is actually important.  I don't have the time anymore to watch or listen to everyone who has an opinion on a video game console they've never played.  I didn't watch the video, but from the sounds of it he is comparing a Wii U to a video game console he's never played.  It's like comparing a movie you've already watched and loved... to a new movie trailer.  But that's fine.  I'm just glad people are continuing to create content around Amico.  As you mentioned... he wasn't comparing the Wii U to the Atari VCS.  What we are doing is clearly interesting to a lot of folks.  Great news for Amico!

MadMax's comment about the "haters don't have couches" was kinda hilarious.   :D

watching Brian's Man Cave interview with Garry & Dan Kitchen and David Crane it sounds like there could be a lot of interest of making games on the Amico..they said they talk to Tommy all the time and Dan Kitchen said the Amico looks wonderful but they don't announce anything until they are ready...would be pretty awesome

Wouldn't That Be Something?

Sorry... it's been awhile since I had the opportunity to say that.

WOW!!!!   I never seen or heard of that one before.  What system is that for?  Multiple systems?  Or just Dreamcast or something??

It definitely seems to be getting worse out there as opposed to better.  Won't know for sure until mid summer if it's going to affect us.  We still have time and are working like crazy to navigate all the insane challenges.

I've probably only talked about 5% of the component challenges that we deal with on a daily basis.  It's crazy.

That is more of an outside side project that a couple of Nick's racing & builder friends are doing for Intellivision just for fun... but could be great free promotion for us.  :)
