@Tommy Tallarico is there a repository someplace with full size 1080p images of some of the games coming out for Amico?  Would be fun to use them as desktop pictures cycling all day on my screen.  Like of Missle Command, Astrosmash, Moon Patrol,  Night Stalker, and heck.. lets go for broke... AD&D.

I don't have any official ones... but the latest gameplay video is in 4K so you could grab them full screen from that!

Oops! to bad I kidded with them.:-o It's just a joke, though if you check the link.:lolblue:

I contacted them through their Twitter.  Wouldn't mind speaking with them about bringing over that Bobby Bombastic game.

Saw this 1st at pax west last August.  And came out shortly after pax. So this game has been out less than a year and last I looked it was only on steam. Now I've played this game and its a blast. But I feel would be much better on the Amico. Its 4 player coop. Being on a pc is ok but with a family not great playing in front of a monitor. Its from Warped core studios. love your thoughts on this. Do you think this would be a great game on the Amico?

Very Cool!  Yeah... it kinda amazes me that the best couch co-ops these days are being made for Steam/PC.  4 people huddling around a laptop (what most people have) isn't the same as seeing on a TV and everyone on a couch.

Do you know the devs?  If so... please reach out on my behalf or let me know how to get a hold of them.

Hi Tommy,

I thought up another question, and I don't remember seeing it asked/answered anywhere yet, my apologies if I missed it!

For those folks who ordered a Founder's Edition, will we be limited to just the pack-in games until everyone else catches up on 10/10? Or will the software store and some games already be available by the time the FE machines land in our desperate hands? ;-)

Hope ALL else spiff-E there for You and Yours Sir!

Thanks as always for Your time!

Can't wait to see more goodies from You and the Team!

BF

That's a great question.  I can't predict the exact answer at this time, but I'm hoping the store will be 100% ready to go and we're not working on it on 10/9!   :)

So hopefully the answer is YES!  But I can't guarantee it as I'm not sure what the future will hold.  But the goal is... YES!

Yo!,

I remember someone asking within the last week or so about our MUGS.

I was just buying a mug for myself and I noticed that we DO in fact have 11oz & 15oz mugs!

But the color changing mugs are only 11oz.  So if you're looking for a 15oz mug... you just gotta get the all white ones instead and pick 15oz instead of 11oz.

I'm not seeing the option for the 15oz one. Still, I'm happy with the color changing one. Hang on and I'll take a screenshot.

Okay, here you go. This is all I'm seeing for mug options:

Crap!  Okay... for some reason it's showing up in the backend (where I can order) but not on our page.

I'll send an e-mail to my guy and ask him.  Will let you know as soon as I find out.

Thanks!

Tommy, I haven't really been paying attention for the past few days because I'm still figuring out a bunch of stuff with the SuperGrafx (turns out that Darius Alpha might actually NOT be SuperGrafx enhanced like the entire internet says!) and I've been over in the TurboGrafx thread constantly, but not here. It seems to me that you guys have a little under 24 hours left for VIP reservations. How are the results aligning with what you predicted for it?

When someone starts to fall behind the camera pans out.  And if they fall too far behind then the are given a time penalty but put back towards the front with the other skiers.

Excellent idea !

Thanks !

I love my color-changing mug-we've been making a pot of coffee every other day, and putting it in a vacuum sealed carafe.  It's just the two of us, the coffee is still perfect the next day (still warm, actually) so on day 2 I've been microwaving it, to make it hot.  My Rebel mug tells me when it's done!

I don't know about you all, but I can't wait to play Cloudy Mountain on the Amico.  When I finally get it for my system, I will be making the following announcement to my entire family...

I have a question.

Tommy likes to do 4 hour long interviews.

The Intellivisionaries do 4 hour long podcasts.

Why have these two not gotten together yet??

I've been on a few times... but it's definitely been awhile.  Might need to fix that soon!

Well it has been since October 2019 since their 37th and last podcast so maybe the fix will be "The Amicoaries".  Anything like that being kicked around from your folks Tommy?

Hey guys, I just noticed that

- The Intellivision has an awesome beach volley game: Spiker! Super Pro Volleyball

- It was released in 1989

- One year earlier, in 1988, Kings of the Beach was released for MS-DOS. (This game was later ported to the C64 and the NES).

- Both games are very similar! So my advice is: try both if you can, or at least try one of them if you only have one of those systems available. 👍

I have played Kings of the Beach for MS-DOS and is great, both as a single player game and with a friend. It's amazing that the Intellivision has a very similar game (with less advanced graphics).

Wow!  Very nice!  Yeah... we could pull that off with some tricks for sure.

You know the developers?  Do you know how I would contact them?

Duranik. I believe in Cologne, Muenster or Dusseldorf. Publisher is b-alive

@Tommy Tallarico here's a really cool 2d game . Mark.of the ninja. It was originally.on xbox live arcade then a remaster on switch ps4 xbox  windows linux.

It's a 2d ninja stealth game.  This or something like this would be cool on amico.  No obviously blood may need to be removed and some if the animated scenes.   But the concept is great.

If you guys get the teenage mutant ninja turtles licence  ( if so please dont use animation styles from the current cartoon yuck..... go with the 2003 fox kids anime  style series or comic book versions...even 80s cartoon )

But imagine a tmnt game where they have to use stealth and actually be ninjas in game form once  :)

but even this game modified for amico guidelines and make it 2 or 4 players

the game in video is a single player only game.

I just wanted to let everyone know that the Amico Subreddit has increased by almost 100 subscribers in a little over one month.

From January 2020 to April 2020 we've seen the Subreddit go from 190 subscribers to 361 which is honestly really good without any real word of mouth outside hardcore gamer areas yet.

image.thumb.png.64aa50238798895215e580c7bd1cdcb0.png

For reference, the Atari VCS subreddit has 871 subscribers, and the "official" Atari VCS subreddit - the one started by Atari itself so they could moderate comments - is sitting at 333.

I'm beginning to wonder if maybe some of the games that people have been suggesting lately are a bit more complicated than what should be on Amico. I'm not talking about graphics, but gameplay. While they look good, and I would like to play them, I don't see them as games I could play with my wife or "non-gamers."

That Bobby Bombastic game does look good though.
