Tommy did say a while ago that their goal was to make games that looked like these...

Ori & The Will of the Wisps, Cuphead & 2013 Killer Instinct

exactly, its 2020, you dont need cutting edge hardware to produce 2d graphics like this, so Im sure we will see many graphically pleasing and  pretty games on the amico.

I have a thought...

I know that Tommy has said there are several categories:

20% Retro Reimagined

20% Sports and Casual Sports

20% Board Games and Card Games

20% Edutainment

20% New IP

Will the Amico stick to this strictly?

I mean of the 40 games that "may" be on day one will there be exactly 4 each?

Will games going forward follow a pattern of 1 of each category and then rotate through that (so we would get a retro first and have to wait 28 to 40 days for the next one)?

I'm not worried if this is the case as I'm getting all games but it just dawned on me that it will be hard to really stick to the 20% breakdown.

If anyone can do it I know Tommy can. 😄

Um, so, M.G. how do you propose IE reconciles retro sports games, or board game that are also edutainment (like Trivial Pursuits), or new IP sport games?  Sorry to blow your mind 🤭

I know we are only trying to be funny, but the sad truth is there are those that will try and hold Tommy’s feet to the fire because it 26/16/20/14/24 on some given day.

And with only one release per week, it's only going to be once every 5 weeks where the numbers could be even up.

Pedantic talk is fundamental!

Pat: "Ian! Tommy said 20% for every category, but Blarneo's Math Fun just came out so now Education has got 13 games & the other categories 12 (that Nintendo is better at and needs to be the only system anybody should be allowed to buy because I say so), so he pretty much lying at this point, right?"

4 weeks later: "Ian, it's time for our 'scumbag reseller of the week'"

1 week after that: "Ian, this bribing Ferrari driver (which I can totally afford one if I wanted one, cuz I'm a pretty big deal) is at it again. Now the sports game category has 14 games to the other's 13! The hypocrisy and failure of ONLY 30 million sales in 6 months is pathetic! They should be like ENRON and just go belly up! What do you think before I interrupt you in 20 seconds?"

@Tommy Tallarico is there a repository someplace with full size 1080p images of some of the games coming out for Amico?  Would be fun to use them as desktop pictures cycling all day on my screen.  Like of Missle Command, Astrosmash, Moon Patrol,  Night Stalker, and heck.. lets go for broke... AD&D.

Here are some screenshot I took from the trailer at 1440p at 0.25 speed.  Had to let it roll a bit to make the timebar and title go away. Kinda hard to get a clean screenshot since the movie itself have motion blur.

I didn't notice the band-aid on the tail of the shark at first.

Image9.thumb.jpg.ff36d376933d6dd06483084f89843b38.jpg

Very nice background that Astrosmash have. I'm tempted to make a Colecovision version of this game, but Tommy might Hulk Smash me to bits. ;)

Loved the arcade cabinet model of Pong

Avalanche, kinda blurry...

You can see Goatnom in this picture.  I've wondered if the goat will eat the skier if he crashes to one.

I like how the graphics looks in this game.  Especially the wooden board texture.  Also you can see the crab in the lower left corner.

Tommy...for the Birthday Easter egg option as it relates to Account registration on the Amico site...if i make an account registered to my name...is there a separate area to me to enter my daughter's name and B-Day so on that day the Amico wishes her a happy B-day and not whatever the account name is?

Cheers :)

Hi Tommy ! Are you ready for really hard questions ? I hope so.

If yes, here it is.

If no, you can come back later when you are ready ! 😊

If possible, indicate which number best represents the situation today for these games :

5     Everything is fine.

4     On the right track

3     Something is missing to meet our standards

2     Quarantined

1     Abandoned project.

image.thumb.png.2406d1f165b6f451fa15d0ed8e754ebb.png

And Ski cross for Skiing ...

I am a little worried about this game mode because of the camera. Probably when someone falls, it is really hard to see everyone on the big screen ! 😔

I would say those are all 3's.

For Ski Cross... that isn't the camera angle.  It's the same camera angle as you currently see in the one player mode.  When someone starts to fall behind the camera pans out.  And if they fall too far behind then the are given a time penalty but put back towards the front with the other skiers.

No.  It's the same exact VIP Pre-Order that is going on our our website.

I have a question.

Tommy likes to do 4 hour long interviews.

The Intellivisionaries do 4 hour long podcasts.

Why have these two not gotten together yet??

I've been on a few times... but it's definitely been awhile.  Might need to fix that soon!

Could everyone do me a favor?

Remember that Bobby Bombastic video someone shared in here?

The company is putting out a ton of short videos about their games and asking if we would like to see them on the Amico.

See the Bobby Bombastic one below.

Could we all go and flood them with request to come to Amico.

And @Tommy Tallarico

Can you give them a "Yo, love your art style..hit us up in our Intellivision Amico website?"

I'm not being pushy. Just asking..

Asking is ok right?

 😄😅🤣

Watch "BOBBY BOMBASTIC - H.E.R.O. style game for the Intellivision Amico or Atari VCS?" on YouTube

Cool!  Thanks for bringing it to my attention!  Will reach out for sure!

VIP Order # 349_.  ( Almost 3500 people. )

I add an order because one of my friend told me he wants an Amico "wood grain".

Tommy, will it be easy for I.E. to join my two VIP orders together for shipping cost reason ?

Should I mention it at the appropriate time ?

Thank you.

I'm not sure how that will work.  Not my area.  Someone on my team will.  Feel free to e-mail us... someone should get back to you.

Here's my thoughts....

1) Tommy said he like it..that's good enough for me.

2) I believe (and Tommy correct me if I'm wrong) that a H.E.R.O. remake or update was something thought about but wasn't currently in the cards.  Someone drops a spiritual successor (which I dont believe is out on anything yet) on your lap and even mentions the Amico by name and that's nothing to just brush off.  If the game is near completion why not at least see what they want for it.  Perhaps give them another 6 months to add coop and versus.  Just a thought.

3) Tommy (again correct me if I'm wrong) said he had the launch games and about 3 to 6 months worth of games already "in the works" and/or "planned out". That doesn't mean done but it does mean he's planned ahead and anything we would suggest right now would be something which would naturally come out over  6 months after launch.

4) Tommy (again correct me if I'm wrong) said (when I said Fox n Forests looked great) "wait until you see it on Amico ". Fox and Forests is far more pixilated that Bobby Bombastic IMHO.

5) The Amico's launch titles and first 6 months to a year will naturally have an overall aesthetic but things will move away from that I believe.  Not every game will have the same exact look and a few more pixelated ones after year 1 is over would actually "pop" if done right.

6) See number 1.

I'm not saying this game is perfect...in fact I'm a little worried that the last trailer was over a year ago and they dont seem to show anything new.  I dont know of any of their games (except Sigi) which have come out so that worries me a little.

All of those are pretty much correct.

Saw this 1st at pax west last August.  And came out shortly after pax. So this game has been out less than a year and last I looked it was only on steam. Now I've played this game and its a blast. But I feel would be much better on the Amico. Its 4 player coop. Being on a pc is ok but with a family not great playing in front of a monitor. Its from Warped core studios. love your thoughts on this. Do you think this would be a great game on the Amico?

Could the Amico handle this with some optimization? Or would it need baked in backgrounds and asset flips?

Looks pretty good. May be a little too detailed for an Amico title when it comes to style though. (looks like a hardcore gamer game)

Would need to see it moving.  But it looks like something that wouldn't be a problem.

This was a sega dreamcast game. I'd imagine the amico can do way beyond this.  Keep in mind that this game did not push the dreamcast to it imits. And dreamcast was a single core arm cpu (from 1998)  at 200 mhz and who knows if dev had access to it all.  16 meg ram , plus 8 meg video and 2 meg for sound.    GPU at 100 mhz

The specs atleast what's available  online  is an 8 core 1.8 ghz arm CPU ( tommy I seen a video panel where you said I think 2.3 ghz or might have been 2.7 or 8 I forget...) so I'm not sure if that was an error on your part tommy . Ot if that was a later upgrade that you guys are  not worried about posting as it's not a big deal right now

Rams at 2 GB unless they may have upgraded that to 4 or whatever who knows. I'd assume if got a cou upgrade maybe that could get one.

Dunno if the system gas a dedicated graphics chip.   That would be the only area I'm curious about. Or if the 8 core cpu is a ting as both.

Also keep in.mind a raspberry pi 4 can emulate the dreamcast  and a pi 4 has a 4 core 2.5 ghz arm CPU and 4 GB ram

Also emulating and native code are two separate beasts performance wise.

So I would assume this is nothing . .

Ah!  Yeah... if it was on the Sega Dreamcast then I know Amico could more than handle it!

Hi Tommy,

I thought up another question, and I don't remember seeing it asked/answered anywhere yet, my apologies if I missed it!

For those folks who ordered a Founder's Edition, will we be limited to just the pack-in games until everyone else catches up on 10/10? Or will the software store and some games already be available by the time the FE machines land in our desperate hands? ;-)

Hope ALL else spiff-E there for You and Yours Sir!

Thanks as always for Your time!

Can't wait to see more goodies from You and the Team!

BF
