Intellivision Amico - Tommy Tallarico introduction + Q&A

Recommended Posts

I really enjoyed that interview you did Tommy with Vara Dark, I actually watched all 3 1/2 hours today.  I think you handled the questions very well and I like how Vera stayed very much neutral to things, very professional.

While a lot of the video was spent on negative topics the way she and you handled them made it easy to keep watching.

Since colors of consoles was being mentioned I am hoping one day to be able to get a pink one.. However that special red one would be pretty darn sweet too if it were to come to be.

I enjoyed your deep dive into the logic of how you and your team made the dice rolling sounds, so much thought and subtle things to make it just right... one of my favorite parts of the video..

Totally, that part, even if you wouldn’t “care” so much about the sound of dice rolling, it’s yet another indication  how much attention to details and perfection that goes into every game, super cool! But the favorite part was obviously that there is probably seven pack in games (not 100% confirmed though), I’m guessing an edutainment game in that case (since that is the only category missing in the pack ins)?

I even think Goonies could be a game for Amico instead of direct combat the game could be about solving clues to find the treasure avoiding detection by the Fratelli family  and setting traps to slow them down that being said not sure why the video shows up in a search for Intellivision Amico

I'm guessing you are talking about The Goonies for the NES. Take a look at The Gonnies for the C64. This is a completely different game and, in my mind, this gameplay has a lot more potential as an Amico game. (And coming from a guy like me who is not a fan of remakes, this means a lot! LOL)

Is there going to be a more realistic physics version of motion control tennis and table tennis than anything on Wii?

Yes I played those games on the nes but I wasn’t saying that should be remade but a new game with elements from the movie instead of dropping a bomb near them like in the nes game or using a slingshot my thing is do a game where your following the map solving puzzles and being chased by the fartelli family and instead of direct confrontation it’s about setting traps to buy time to solve the puzzle

C64 version was cool coop game where players works together figuring out puzzles... but I loved MSX version, you guys should check that out.

Interesting. Lasts only 5 minutes.

If you are wondering what the answer to his question is, it can be found in the comments, answered by Tommy! 😃

No amount of ignoring makes them go away. Stomping on their faces with a verbal iron boot does.

No, it makes you feel good.  You didn't just fight a battle, you typed words back at a sociopath manchild who is incapable of understanding logic.  You are making the incorrect assumption that your words will have effect, likely because words have an effect on you.  I respect that, but picking your battles is what wins the war.

Stomping on faces, seriously?  Ever been in a fistfight?

You can't wrestle a pig without getting dirty, and the pig liking it.  Stay out of the pigpen.

Heads up: I just preordered my Galaxy Purple Amico, its a Gamestop exclusive for $299. with shipping cost to be determined later.

It says release date of 10/10/2020,so other than the FE and VIP editions this may be the other chance to ensure you get an Amico on time at the original release date.

If any of this information is wrong, anyone feel free to chime in and correct me! Woo-hoo,Galaxy Purple!!!👍😀

Is there a new render on their website? It's region locked now and I can't go there anymore, which is strange because it wasn't region locked a few months ago.

For US only.

From Gamestop.com, look for Amico.

hmmm, not a fan on the color on this one... but to each their own.    Now the purple ones are kickass.  This one above I feel like they ran out of color right before the thing fully printed.  Or is that just me?  The two colors don't help each other in my one good eye.  haha
