Some excellent choices there!  Original TRON, Legacy, or both? 🙂

Original... but I love Legacy as well.  That final battle scene on the bridge always brings tears to my eyes.

I was wondering if there are any new interviews, videos or news coming soon. I need  my fix ! 😜

As promised... I've slowed them down a bit.  Did a really cool one over the weekend with these guys!  Not sure when then interview is airing.  But it was a super cool one.

Too much to focus on.  Especially with getting the "new hire" up and running on everything Amico!  Press Release coming this week.  Not sure when.  Lots of "approvals" needed.   :)

Hey Tommy,

I don't think I ever saw an answer to the question about the European version of the Amico VIP. If I read correctly you are adding the names of the EMEA VIPs to the credits in a few games.

Will there be something similar for us as well? Selfish mode turned on - What about the active AA members ?  My personal vote would be for there to be an easter egg with rolling credits somewhere.  Even on the console...

If this is hush hush, I'll keep moving along. As there is nothing to see here.

Names in credits is a thing just for Germany and done through our relationship with the Bavarian Government, huge German retailers and the biggest German media outlets... and only for a few German made games on the Intellivision.  Won't be made available outside of Germany.

I will have a question for Tommy at the end of this short text.

I may have the idea of using one of the consoles that I ordered to lend it to several people to introduce them to Amico.

Example, I could lend it 2 weeks to my mother and her boyfriend,

then the next 2 weeks to my sister and her boyfriend, etc.

This makes great publicity and they can also share it with their friends while they have it
and those who like the experience can buy one for themselves.

My question is the following :
Would it be possible to do what I just mentioned,
or it would be complicated because we probably have to register who owns the console, make an account, etc ?

Thank you.

If you physically take the entire machine over someone's house and leave it there... shouldn't be a problem.

Wouldn't it be something if at the very beginning of the game E.T.
(Or during the presentation of the title) there would be a mysterious and extra-terrestrial music ...
Mysterious creatures are digging and finding the old cartridges of the Atari game.

Or something subtle during the appearance of the game title and its year of production,
see a picture in the background of a landfill with a box of the original game half buried.

In short, there are several other possible ideas that could add a very special touch to the game on Amico. 😀

That wasn't available until 1998. Starship Troopers was the first big space adventure on the format (if you don't count Blade Runner). Star Wars wasn't on DVD until 2000 or 2001.

People forget that the pickings were pretty slim back in 1997-2000. Disney didn't support the format until 1999. Only Columbia/Tri Star, Warner Bros & MGM supported the format at launch. Universal, Fox & Paramount pulled an Activision & waited a year. Universal did support Divx, the other rental only movie disc, but didn't have any for sale DVDs until 1998.

I lost count of how many times I watched Fifth Element. It's very green, Corbin Dallas! Bzzz!

He was so GREAT in that movie!

My favorite scene of his was the last one...

Tommy,

Was Dig Dug considered for Amico? I can't remember if this was already asked or not.

It's on the future "to do" list.

I was a home theater hobbyist & movie collector buff back then. I was a member of Home Theater Forum & went to Hollywood to visit DTS and some studios who's home video divisions hosted us. This was 2000, cuz we were there when the Florida fight was going on between Bush & Gore election. 20th C Fox & Warner Bros were the nicest people. Paramount & Warner gave us studio tours. We saw a filming of Will & Grace. Woody Harrelson is an arrogant prick. It was fun.

Kind of an expensive hobby and the iPod spoiled me to uncomplicated sound quality. No more equalizers, video calibrators and large gauge Monster cables... not to mention I was richer back then. Hahaha.

Cool! Neat experience I’m sure! Thanks for sharing and jogging my memory.

For some reason I never really liked that game. Assuming it gets reimagined for the Amico, I’ll give it another chance !

Same here, especially with the music crescendo. I still get chills on Tron's "I fight... for the Users!" line as well.

Dig Dug.. my favorite game!

Thinking of Dig Dug... wonder if a 2.5 or even 3d version was ever made for this game?

Would be kind cool have a 1st person version of Dig Dug, although I think of Amico they said no 3D stuff... but bet you could still have fun in 2.5d version.

There was also a Dig Dug 2 by Namco.  But it only released in Japan.  It took place on an island with an overhead view.

The closest that I know of would probably have been "Dig Dug Deeper" from the early 2000s:

I never knew that a group had made a video on E.T. and the burial of the cartridges !

I just found it out !! We see them walking on the site and digging to find them.

I say go right to senses and pan the scenery slowly of the dumps the carts are buried at, only the stiff breeze of the wind can be heard along with the ruffling of trash in the wind... then dead silence...... BOOM!  up from the ground pops through ET's hand!  Everyone jumps back in their seats.... then a To Be Continued appears on the screen as the Amico logo pops up.
