Intellivision Amico - Tommy Tallarico introduction + Q&A

Hi Tommy,

Has Intellivision Entertainment decided on when Woodgrain founders can expect to receive a bill?

I would like to know this as well. Also, will we be able to purchase extra controllers and charging base at launch to match the wood grain?

Tommy had mentioned this a few times. Basically once it is closer to shipping they will contact all of the Founders Editions order holders and make sure they have an updated address on file. This allows them to calculate the correct shipping, taxes and such and determine the final amount owed after the deposit. Just guessing, but this would probably occur sometime in the 2nd half of September (i.e. within a month of the ship date).

This makes sense and I hope this comes to fruition.

From what Tommy has said in the past the extra controllers should be available at launch. The charging base is more likely coming next year. Of course you can charge the extra controllers while the others are in use on the console's dock or using a USB C cable & standard 5 volt USB charger. You can even charge while playing if you don't mind being tethered to a cable for a while.

Hi all,

This is more for the newer people in the forum here and to clarify a few questions I have had in my head:

What is the difference between the VIP/Gamestop/standard and Founders Editions of the console? Besides color, of course.  Also when does/did the VIP edition become the "standard" pre-order Amico?

Sure!  Here ya go!

Founders & VIP editions are no longer available.  Founders was $299 and limited to 2600.  They sold out in around 5 hours.  Each is individually hand numbered and signed by me.  Comes with a lenticular poster (signed by the entire team), soundtracks and a $50 gift card redeemable in the Amico Game Shop (i.e. for digital games).  They are only Vintage Woodgrain.

VIP's were Vintage Woodgrain ($279) or Glacier White or Graphite Black ($249).  They came with a lenticular trading card (signed by me), soundtracks and a $25 gift card (redeemable for digital games in the Amico Game Shop).

The current limited time Gamestop bundle is the Galaxy Purple at $299 (normal retail is $279) but includes a $25 gift card (redeemable for digital games in the Amico Game Shop).  Glacier White & Graphite Black at Gamestop are just the normal $249 and doesn't include anything.

When we are 100% sure they will be in our warehouse... at that point (I'm assuming late September) you would get an e-mail from us asking to fill out your address so we can calculate shipping and what type of shipping you would prefer (fast/slower, etc.).  At that point we would have the final total owed and at that point you can either move ahead with your order, or request the $100 deposit back.

Thanks for your support!!

Tommy, I was just wondering, is this game under active development for the Amico?

No.  Not yet.  But towards the top of our "to do" list for 2022!

Yes!  Extra Vintage Woodgrain controllers will be available to add.  The charging base won't be ready for launch.  That will be a 2022 item.

I feel sorry for your hand/wrist/arm. Have you started to sign the cards/Posters yet?

I thought there was supposed to be one yesterday.  But it didn't happen.  We just have to wait and be patient.  Hopefully the waiting pays off.

I am curious. Why you thought we were supposed to have one video yesterday, and why you thought it would have been Dynablaster ? 🤔

Because I read a comment OEB Pete made somewhere.  I think it was in a live chat.

We received confirmation yesterday that Amazon UK have SOLD OUT their initial supply of Amico's in the UK.  Pre-Orders will start to go fast as we get closer to launch. We have a PRE-ORDER section at http://Intellivision.com that shows where they are available by country.  Amazon Germany have SOLD OUT as well.

Our sales team said they spoke to Amazon yesterday and there was some confusion in Amazon in Europe as to which countries were getting how many units and they've been overselling their stock.  Although this is an overall good sign for us (especially 7 months from launch and no money spent on advertising), it pains me deeply to know that this has happened.  Our sales team is trying to figure out a way to allocate more to Amazon in Europe.  In the meantime, here are the other places in the UK currently taking pre-orders.

I'm not sure where that came from either.  I never said a video was coming March 15th.

Probably wishful thinking I'm sure.   :)

Hahaha!  True dat.

The post-show meet & greets in the lobby (as Grudge has seen first hand) typically go about 2 - 3 hours after the show.  Usually about 25% of the audience is there.  Normally around 600 - 1000 people depending on the venue size.  But during that time I'm having short conversations with folks, signing multiple items and taking pics.  Multiple that by 550 performances and 4 big Kickstarter campaigns.  :)

If laid out properly, I could easily do about 15 per minute.

✍️🥴😵💪🏼

The annoying thing is, is that I ordered it back on 1st December 2020, and it’s only now that they have said it’s sold out. I will try Argos. Thanks Tommy 👍
