Question about controllers:

So if I take my controller downstairs to a basement that doesn't exist because the water table in St Pete FL is 6 feet and my pool can't be a normal 8 feet deep one, but let's say I set up an Amico down there anyway and have it connected to the water pump next to the live alligator that pest control will not come out and remove, so he's on my shit list now, and I have a TV screen around the corner on the porch right above the wasp nest, where the geckos keep trampling on it leaving tracks and a bat keeps crashing into at night, so I can play Utopia outside with all my pets that I never asked for... Will I get my arm eaten off by the alligator or the the animal control worker?

Sounds like you need to buy a cat, they'll take care of the pests.  You might get a dead alligator at your bedroom doorstep as their present.

Tommy always says to ask the hard questions. I'm glad to see someone finally did.

I 2nd that. So glad I use cash on my console purchases

In this time of crisis I evaluate *all* purchases decisions based on this Needs Pyramid

the order is good, but ya gotta flip the pyramid.  Amico should be the largest chunk.

Thanks, fixed it - should have added more toilet paper in there though.

Anyone genuinely worried about running out of water should consider moving to the Pacific Northwest. It's lovely here on both sides of the border and water shortages are not something we worry about too much.

@Tommy Tallarico I was just watching Victor on the Rundown and he was saying it looks like there will be no E3 digital streams? It sounds like each company would just be doing whatever they wanted in terms of releasing info during the summer? I'm guessing that changes your plans a bit around releasing all these secrets you've been keeping from us? Lol. Maybe 1 per week starting next week? 🤔😂

Did you actually legitimately play a game of cornhole inside your house to get the sounds or just enough to get what you need? Hopefully you didn't miss and smash the microphone by mistake!

Will you be getting different types of cornhole board to record from? I mean, maybe they make different sounds depending on the type of wood.

Nice to know I'm not the only one totally interested in the finer audio subtleties of cornhole.  Will we hear beer cans and bottles being opened (and frequently dropped) in the background?  It won't be the same without someone yelling at the dog for stealing the bags, either.

Just started thinking... @Tommy Tallarico this AA thread is staring a great game right into front of Intellivisions eyes and you may not see it.

Imagine if you will.....

Tommy drives around in his fast car dodging poo that Pat and Ian plop down in the road in front of him.  Make sure to dodge the poos but WATCH OUT... stumbling in the road are some good guys.  @OEB_Pete not paying attention and staring at the pretty lights on his Amico walks into the road... swerve not to hit him!  @AtariSociety (me) is a stoned Hippy with tinfoil hat sitting in the middle of the road smoking a doobie.... so don't hit me.  @Michael Garvey waves "I LOVE ALVARDO" signs at every corner along with a 75% off Furniture Store closing sale.... I am sure most every person here can be added to in some way... especially the detractors... Beware, these that act all nice can be wolves in sheep clothes not really wanting Amico to succeed.... so hit them for points.

That is a start.. everyone else can pile on now and add more to this great new game... Amico AA Thread - the Video Game.

This is what kind of blows my mind.  There have been some 12,000 pre-orders for Amico, and yet there are still A LOT of features about this console that we have no idea about. E3 was going to be the big information blowout, and yet, even without that information, orders seem to be fantastic at this early stage.

Yeah!  It's pretty crazy.

I can count at least 3 or 4 big "WOW!" factor moments still on the horizon.

I even shared a few with @OEB_Pete off camera... but he was sworn to secrecy!   :)

Maybe he can chime in and let everyone know what his thoughts are about some of the stuff I told him (without saying what they are of course).

I just checked the VIP pre-sales page, it got extended to Friday. Orders coming in must still be steady.

Yeah.  A bunch of people have asked us to please extend to Friday because that is when they are getting paid.

We also have another exclusive VIP Pre-Order program going on with a 3rd party partner (not a retailer) that will get us access to a new audience of potentially interested folks.

ZERO difference from what folks can already do directly through us.

Retail will have their pre-orders coming next month as well.

That's the incredible thing about all of this.  The BIG retailers literally have tens of millions of people on their mailing list and those mailing list folks have no idea about Amico right now.  We're confident that we can get that pre-orders up to probably 50,000 or so before we've ever spent a dime on advertising or started any of our real family marketing, etc.  Excitement with all of our partners is off the charts!

Big press release coming at the end of the month in regards to some of our licensing partnerships (with a LOT of mic drop moments), and we've finished filming another "overview" trailer and we introduce for the first time our Global VP of Marketing Cara (who came from Mattel and worked on the Disney franchise!).  So if you or anyone you know ever bought a Frozen toy... you can blame Cara.   :)

Also going to work on getting a full level of Moon Patrol on the app for everyone!

Hoping all 3 of these things (press release, app upgrade & overview trailer) will be available by the end of this month.  Looking like they are all on track for sure!  Especially the new trailer.  No new gameplay footage in the trailer though.. but a few new and cool controller graphics (explaining some of the things the controllers do).  I'm just happy to be introducing Cara to folks for the first time.

Super excited. This was going to be next question - when can we expect more information. I think that doing something specifically about the controllers, their menus, screens, the "overlays," functionality, etc. is really going to be great. Something the Wii U failed to do entirely was show WHY the gamepad was cool in the first place!

It's awesome that you have the entire Wii U marketing video list to study for do's and don'ts! Haha.

Different boards, different bags, outside, inside... lots of different ways and sounds to record.  You're talking to a guy who put out an award winning sound fx library and it had over 12,000 sounds JUST for footsteps!
