Yeah could be a good idea. I know Baseball is special for Tommy and his father.

But for NHL or NBA, we could have our host saying that we will go see the beginning of a game.

So we are at ice level, but we notice that there is only one team on the field, everyone wondering where the players of the opposing team are.

A camera sneaks into the opposing team's locker room, and we see a group of players gathered together playing the Amico's Hockey game, and one of them his telling us :

"It's as fun as playing for real !"

Not a bad article they made good comparisons on both sides of the fence.  But missed the mark on the couch coop by not explaining the 8 player part. Every system currently does some coop but not 8 player regardless what the haters claim. And also adding the appeal of the wii is mainly lost in the switch.

I occasionally boot up my Klax cart on my Lynx just to listen to it's excellent title screen music. I'm still blown away by it! Amazing for a handheld released in 89.

I use Co-Optimus for reference on co-op games, and the number of 4-8 player party games on any system is abysmal.  When you plug in "2-players" and select "couch co-op" or "split-screen", one of the things you notice is there are more co-op games than you'd expect actually.  But review the list.

They're indie, a lot of low-budget, low quality online store fodder, lost in the 2600 game PlayStation Store, the 2450 game Microsoft store, Nintendo's 3500 game eShop, or the 8000 games on Steam.  Many don't have a great rating and few are really optimized for a co-op experience.  They were made, but not particularly made with that intention.

They exist.

They're just not particularly easy to find, or intended for so many players, or cram a lot onto a little screen, or are really mediocre experiences, or just set you up with split screens with little interaction.  Like online gaming with half the tv.

Who's dog is Houdini?  Appears to be a Siberian Husky.  Wifey and I have raised Huskies since we been married.  

Our oldest is going on 15.  Nor sure she will hit that but we hope.

It must be against the law to take a few minutes to check grammar spelling and format I noticed that error in the opening as well but the enlargement of the paragraph drove me crazy not only did they leave the first word out of the format change they left out the N in NOT you would have thought that an easy one to catch.

How about the WNBA, the US Nat'l Soccer Team or the National Women's Soccer League, the Canadian Women's Hockey League, or the Damen Basketball Bundesliga (German Women's Basketball League)..

Does Intellivision *really* want to stand out?  How about pointing out JUST HOW TONE DEAF the rest of video game marketing is concerning the 51-52% of the population that are women.

You guys were suggesting commercials, I have an idea..

How about a commercial with a solitary football kicker in the final seconds of the game.. the announcers babbling about how this is for the win, how Gonzalez hasn't missed in 24 straight attempts, the thunderous crowd roar droaning into an inaudible lull in the background.. you hear the breathing of the field goal kicker, the heart thumping, everything tuning out... steady, taking in a deep breath.. you hear a distant "Hike!" and you see the ball hiked back to the placeholder who catches and pulls it down to set the ball... the camera cuts to the kicker, just starting the steps and increasing momentum to see the kicker running into the kick.. the football is caught, spun in place, laces out... back to the kicker, legs extended.. and... shot of the football as it's perfectly kicked...

slowed shot of the perfect kick, the crowd hushed, the large clock in the stadium clicks down.. 0:03.. 0:02.. 0:01... cut back to the football going perfectly through the uprights..

The crowd erupts.  It's good.

The kicker throws his arms up in victory..

the team rushes to celebrate.. and she takes off her helmet.

"The future won't be Faster.  Stronger.  Bigger.  Harder. 

It'll be better.  It'll be all of us.  Playing together.

Mic drop.  The Metroid reveal.  The woman in the professional league.  Making the winning play.  Remember saying that 1984 Apple Macintosh Orson Welles commercial was powerful?  How powerful would this be?  The Big 3, the large publishers.. you think they're *that* focused on marketing to women and families?  I think some may be a little uncomfortable with the agenda here - that's fair. 

I want to get beyond that though, and ask if you think that'd make one hell of splash? 

Tommy was asking for ideas on how to spend that E3 reveal money.  There's 20,000 female writers and countless more bloggers who would definitely take notice. 

And what would Intellivision need to do?  Maybe, make female players an option in its sports games?  They've got lots of time to discuss and see if making some character animation adjustments and roster changes for unlicensed games (or licensed?!) wouldn't be a game changer.

I miss stuff too mistakes are fine but especially the formatting error should have been easy to spot since you had a giant red OT right in your face.  It just really distracted me from the article

That’s an amazing idea it would definitely make for a memorable ad. 

I don't say this often enough but I so enjoy coming here and hanging out everyday, it makes the quarantine much better.  I even ventured out to other AA forums for a peak.

I wish I could add more to the conversations and I will over time.  I just wanted to put this here and show some Intellivision Amico love.

Yeh, not the easiest breed to raise... serves me right for not having kids I suppose.  I have had huskies and Australian Shepherds.  I like to torture myself.  LOL.  Two high energy breeds.

I was looking for something like this to unite my different segments during the presentation. But did not found the perfect fit.

While we are looking at different kind of people playing Amico, and talking about it (Tommy, Cara, Alvaro etc. ) I had in mind a line like "All different, but same goal and passion". (But I am not 100% satisfied with my quote.)
