And now back to our regularly scheduled programming,  gaming and the Intellivison Amico ...

... any guesses to the possible 7th pack-in game? Will you take the day off from work the day your FE or VIP is scheduled for delivery? Will delivery day be bigger than Xmas day? What's the first game you will play?

Was a 7th pack-in game confirmed ?

7th pack in:  I'm guessing an unannounced edutainment game similar to Brain Age (lots of mini brain teaser challenges suitable for all ages)

First game I'll play:  Either Cornhole, SideSwipers, or the party game - I'm thinking I'll let the kids choose

First game I'll play solo: probably Skiing since it is a pack-in but quickly followed by Night Stalker and Cloudy Mountain if available

No, Tommy just said they are thinking about it during the Vara Dark interview.

Not sure.  Tommy said he might add a 7th game.  I still want to know what the 6th game is.

I personally think 6 is good enough because the games are affordable to me and I dont mind paying for them. I want to see intellivision be around a very long time and I'm will to pay more to see that happen. 10 bucks to me isn't going to hurt me but 10 bucks for everyone that buys that 7th game will be a bigger deal for the company.

First post here so I hope i'm doing this right and not breaking some rule. I've browsed this forum every day for a long while now but never had anything important to say, today I made an account;

I am so excited for the Amico, I lost interest in video games especially console video games some time around the Xbox but this news of the Intellivision Amico is real exciting to me again so much so that I actually got a Founder's Edition pre-order in.

As for my question though - Has anyone thought of a Crokinole game on Amico? It seems to me like it would be absolutely ideal! You control placement of your disc with the controller's disc, then you "flick" across the touchscreen to launch it, it'd be almost exactly the same skill set as used in playing the real game and I believe it would translate into an Amico title very well for their board game selection. I'm really looking forward to that slick Farkle game that has been teased but wow if it had Crokinole too that'd be something else.

Many thanks!

The true man was LordRayken. Account create in november 2016. At this time, he wrote 8 messages, and all messages had the first letters of a sentence Capitalize !

Then in January of this year, comes 1001lives in this thread ! At first, he was very negative. After a while, he became more positive.

Then , here comes LordRayken in March of this year, and he decide he don't remember to capitalize first letters of a sentence, and almost every "I" become "i".

It was the easy way to differentiate the two personalities and hide they were only one !

Also, don't forget that it was 1001 lives that invited Tony TGD in this forum ! 🤔

So probably after Tony TGD was banned, it gave him this idea to have the other account to make his counter point !? (Maybe he forgot he had already an account when he created 1001 lives)

Not cool to discover this kind of thing. But one thing is certain, he is certainly not the only one to do so. 🤨

holy Columbo batman... you lined up some doozies there.  hehe.  Well done.

No, Tommy said it may happen. He did not commit to it. That's why I said possible.

Never heard of Crokinole so I googled it and watched a video explaining the game. Looks like fun and you are right it would translate to the Amico very well.

Wow every day I come here and learn about some retro game, indie video game or table top game (and occasionally car wax treatments) I have never heard of. So many cool ideas out there for Amico games (well except for maybe the car waxing stuff).

The game has been around for a couple of hundred years I believe but the reason it isn't a household name is the high cost of the setup. A good crokinole board and other equipment to play it costs more than the Amico does these days!

That crokinole game looks fun, thanks @Scrundle! I don't think it's very popular here in Spain.

By the way, I accidentally found out some user in another message board with your nickname and also from Wales who's a female. If it's you, I'm sure you can give Tommy lots of cool ideas from a slightly different perspective as we've seen on this thread until now. 🖖

Why is it necessary to ask?  This is Tommy's Amico Q&A thread, after all; there's nothing wrong with trying to keep it on track.  Remember, the more often it wanders off-topic, the more work it creates for Tommy when he has time to catch up with it.

Perhaps it wasn't, but I get triggered by an obvious attempt at peacocking and then gaslit by a second post that it was "just a joke", and then bullied some more by being issued an instruction to "lighten up".

When and if that happens, the correct thing to do is to step away and cool off for a while instead of responding in kind, which only puts the other person on the defensive and makes the problem worse.  If there are specific users who repeatedly annoy you, you do have the option of adding them to your Ignore List, which hides their posts.

I have noticed it is the haters and trolls who are the first to cry foul for “fairness” whenever anything they see as even slightly unfair is said about them. However they can lie, insinuate, use fake accounts and issue personal attacks with no qualms what so ever.

Case in similar point;

Elitist (take your pick):  Makes statements that “Amico is fake, its not real, its never going to come out’

Tommy: Shows their controller design, shows various form iterations,  powers it, shows HW/SW display results of the inputs for disc direction, disc force, touch screen sensitivity/accuracy and gyroscope, which by all accounts should showcase to any doubters (well those who have the capacity of reason) that the controllers are a real design with real working electronics, logic and hardware.

Elitist (you know the one): Paraphrasing from memory - Tommy shows off the touch screen like its some great hi tech thing, its been in cell phones for years.

You just cant win with these folks, so just don't play their game. Best to draft a general form response, paste it in to any posts that warrant a response and move on.  If they continue to just receive canned responses, they may just get board, and results in more of our time back.

Going on record stating I only have one account - Despite the current events, I work, have a family and am generally keeping pretty busy (even lost 5 lbs., so guess that puts me 20 lbs. ahead).  I have a hard enough time keeping up here, making the occasional post with one account, and which is for something I like and enjoy.  I cant imagine wasting my time, creating 2 accounts and posting often for something I don't even like.

Take some advice, go find something you can get behind and can be positive about, you will be a happier person for it

Also, despite all your efforts and time, you haven't moved our interest needle a hair.  Life, its worth living.  Go find one.
