Having one of each  would be cool too ! I assume you have to buy a 2 pack of the same color to get the charging station ? I really want a charging station for each controller.

Correct.

GameStop pre-order pages weren't completed til Saturday... so we are announcing the partnership on Monday instead.

Here's the updated page for the Galaxy Purple which includes description of the console, $25 Amico game card, console details and bullet points, etc.

https://www.gamestop.com/video-games/arcade/products/intellivision-amico-galaxy-purple-limited-edition-only-at-gamestop/11102038.html

You can see us as the #1 banner on the Retro Gaming section, but they are building a separate Intellivision Amico section!  This banner will also appear front and center on their homepage when everything is ready.

Pretty cool... and the first of many!

Cool I was actually hoping to ask you this. I was wondering why in the retro section,  but makes sense as a place holder or just extra  spotlight until they have a dedicated section front and center.

Correct.

In that case, I will take 2 of each color so if you eventually have 10 colors available then I will have 20 controllers !! I must have them all !!! Plus ALL of the physical releases 😜

Yes!  We will.  Exact colors not confirmed just yet.  Hoping to at least have the 5 we've announced!  I would imagine the Limited Edition colors would be a little more expensive (as the process to make them is more).

I think thats acceptable. And the price hike on the purple didnt stop me the added cost wasnt a problem.

Tommy,

in regards to having extra controllers available on day 1 this is great news. Will they be available to preorder so that we can have them potentially come with our Amico on day 1? Thank you very much.

I wanna play Pitch Car!!

It's every bit as much fun as it looks. Expansions added jumps and loops and such, but the core game mechanic is really satisfying.

I worked on Scooby Doo for the PS2 about 20 years ago!  Was the Audio Director and did the music, v.o. stuff and sound design.

Really cool jazzy soundtrack (and I had permission to use the Scooby themes!).

Just had a listen (first time in 18 years I think!) and it doesn't sound bad considering we didn't use ANY live instruments (i.e. no budget).  Not bad for all MIDI instruments 20 years ago!

I dig the music in this game. This game was fun. I liked it anyway.

Tommy,

Will we see Softball on Amico?  I found this game on NES.  Maybe something similar for the Amico version.

Can’t wait to see the sports games and how IE incorporates the controller! The sports games are way to complicated nowadays and not as much fun, imo.

I'm kinda thinking buying different colors if you are offering as single controllers as well.  Be fun for game nights to have 8 dif colors eventually.

Speaking of chargers, once your controller is charged up can you turn it off so it maintains the full charge until you want to use it?

I think I would just leave it on the charging pad. Would that burn out the battery ?

Hi Tommy!

With the postponement of the Olympic games in Tokyo to 2021, this becomes interesting for Amico if you want to revive Konami's Track & Field game.

If you managed to get the rights for Frogger, it might be possible to do something interesting with this game.
Especially with all the possibilities available to you with the Amico controller.

Swimming with 4 different styles (Freestyle, Backstroke, Breaststroke and Butterfly) which could be 4 different ways of using the controller, etc.

Make the 100 meters with 6 or 8 players !! (If enough space on the screen ?)

And many other super interesting disciplines !

Is that something that could end up on your list ?

Thank you.

Thank you.

this would be a great idea and since the Amico has motion controls we wouldn't have to tap the buttons like crazy

we just wave the controller to make the players run jerk.gif

I am especially digging the 1920's cartoon chase scene style "Clamor in the Manor Part 4" and totally 60's "Green Ghost Boss"

Of course I would argue the Amico is totally retro - but not in the games on it; but in how they are developed, the philosophy behind them, how it is sold and how customers are treated. All of that stuff is totally retro and way better than what we have today.
