It's like Frogger but with chickens.

Would we really need Freeway if we already have Frogger?

Ah, but this game answers one of life's greatest questions!

Q: Why did the chicken cross the road?

A: High score, baby!

...I'll just see myself out now...

They discuss it at about 57:30.

They mentioned using the microphone but not specifically that game. Could be but couldn't it be a different game seeing there are 50 in production and Tommy did say only a couple of thise 50 use the controller the same way?

Tommy,

in regards to having extra controllers available on day 1 this is great news. Will they be available to preorder so that we can have them potentially come with our Amico on day 1? Thank you very much.

Yep!

Speaking of chargers, once your controller is charged up can you turn it off so it maintains the full charge until you want to use it?

Yep!  That's what that home button is at the top.  You can also use that to PAUSE every game.

I think I would just leave it on the charging pad. Would that burn out the battery ?

No.  It does an automatic shut-off once charged to ensure that doesn't happen.

Hi Tommy!

With the postponement of the Olympic games in Tokyo to 2021, this becomes interesting for Amico if you want to revive Konami's Track & Field game.

If you managed to get the rights for Frogger, it might be possible to do something interesting with this game.
Especially with all the possibilities available to you with the Amico controller.

Swimming with 4 different styles (Freestyle, Backstroke, Breaststroke and Butterfly) which could be 4 different ways of using the controller, etc.

Make the 100 meters with 6 or 8 players !! (If enough space on the screen ?)

And many other super interesting disciplines !

Is that something that could end up on your list ?

Thank you.

Intellivision had a Decathalon game.  In the works already.   :)

I am especially digging the 1920's cartoon chase scene style "Clamor in the Manor Part 4" and totally 60's "Green Ghost Boss"

Yeah!  We made lyrics and did vocals and back-up singers like the show for the Bosses.  Tried to keep it as authentic as possible to that era.  Fun project!

How about 4 player Atari Rampart!?

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rampart_(video_game)

LOVED that game!  When everyone was raving about Castle Crashers being a great couch co-op... I was hoping it would be something like Rampart.  Ended up being more like a cartoon version of Double Dragon.  :(

OMG!!! I was in that area ALOT back in the day with David Shaw, remember him? Hung over his place listening to Ozzy and Zeppelin and playing tons of 2600 games. Played alot of Donkey Kong arcade in a pizza place in that intersection near the old H.O.T. building. I had no idea that area was your neighborhood.

Yep!  That was the ole' stomping grounds!!

Yeah... I was in the same class K thru 8 with David Shaw!  I believe he went to Cathedral High as well for the first few years.

You can see David in our 8th grade class pic for 1982!  He's in the first row on the very far right.

Me & my friend Aron are in the middle.  We were big Godfather fans so we thought it would be funny if we made gun signs with our hands (because it was a Catholic School).  Hilarious back then... probably get expelled these days!

Yes... I was the shortest back then too.  :)   Imagine that I started High School 3 months later!!!  In my freshman year everyone thought I was lost and in the wrong school.   Hahhahaa!

Within a few weeks I had the entire Varsity Football team protecting me and they would let me eat with them at their table at lunch.  A freshman at a seniors table?!?!  Unheard of!  :)

No on would dare pick on me.  I was the king shit!!   :D

I've not heard the game specifically named as the 6th pack-in, it's just my guess based on this and one other video where the 6th was discussed. Can't remember which interview that was though as there've been quite a few!

Would USB headphone support be possible? (Or even a headphone jack on the console itself?)

USB headphone support is more likely to be happen than bluetooth support. Again though, it might not be supported immediately because the firmware and software teams are focused on core functionality, rather than supporting 3rd party peripherals. We will likely add support for all sorts of peripherals in the future. (Please keep in mind that any statements I make about what we may or may not support in the future are my own conjecture, and not company policy. For that, talk to @Tommy Tallarico.)

Headphone jack is not going to happen.

There are 2 main reasons for no headphone jack ->

1. It gets away from the vision of Amico, which is bringing people together. We want to get away from the solitary gamer wearing headphones!

2. It is an extra part (actually many extra parts, but only one part that is visible to the end user) that few people would use, and would unnecessarily increase the cost of the system.

Tommy,

What about a mech style shooter for Amico?  Something like this perhaps?

220px-Musha.png

There is no other mech game that compares to that one. THIS is the game to be remade. It's that good. And the music is some of the best created for the Genesis.👍

There's a reason why MUSHA cartridges go without a box for over $300 on eBay.

No, but it's cool to have options.  As for the overlap, I don't know.  We'll have to wait and see what games come to the Amico.

Old, derivative 2600 games are the last thing I need when there's only going to be 12 retro-reimagined games per year. One every 7-10 days in scheduling. Makes it 52 games a year... tops. Most likely 36, which cuts the annual retro game releases down to 9.

Q: Why did the Baby cross the road?

A: Because he was stapled to the chicken.

It's a shooter. But the "ship" is a "Starship Troopers" style mobile suit, or mech.

IMO, it's the best shooter on a system known for it's great shooters like Thunder Force III.
