Today is my 1st year birthday on AtariAge !

I want to thank the creators of this site, which allowed me to learn a lot more about Amico.

So it must have been about a year and a few days that I have been impatiently waiting for the console from Intellivision Entertainment,
which I discovered when I wanted to remember memories on youtube while researching Intellivision.

That's when I found this video ! I was so excited. The games of my childhood would be revived in a better light !

(Less than 500 views at the time, but I am very happy to have stopped there ...)

That's how I discovered Amico and heard for the first time of my life the name of Tommy Tallarico !

Since then, my life has started to change ! Not a day goes by without me inquiring about new features and news about the console.
I brought out my Intellivision Lives games on the PS2.
I made my son discover it, and I talk about Amico very often (maybe a little too much ! Lol) to my friends and family.

So thank you to Tommy Tallarico and his team, and to AtariAge to let me know everything that is going on with this product.

Also thank you to most of the people in this community. It's like making new friends,
and I look forward to continuing to talk about Amico with you, and talk about our impressions of the games when we can finally play them.

How is this not receptive ?   That is completely a false statement.. as you can see.

Like I said, not here, but in the other thread. Read those two pages.

Based on the quotes you provided, he said he asked about it "in the other thread."  The responses you quoted came from this thread.

Tommy remember the baseball card-flipping games we all played in the school yard at OLSH? How about if that gets made into an Amico Game?

It can have different game types. Like closest to the wall,farsies,matchie..etc. And you can learn to crease/fold the cards so they flip and spin in odd directions.

Perfect for the Amico controllers! Maybe having just baseball cards will limit its appeal. How about cards based on Amico games? Game can be played on a 3/4 isometric view maybe.

I think this is something special!

What do ya think?

Yes, I know what was said here. I think people might have forgotten that I brought it up a while ago, partially since that thread got locked and I doubt anyone reads it anymore.

Whoa... Serious flashback memories there.  Flier cards, who's got what... Colors of flags.  That's was good times being a kid.  The bubble gum sucked though

You can offer love just like Mr Marley did.  Lotsa love!

I hear Rainbow can help you just feel "all right" if needed.

It's like a cross between cornhole, marbles, shuffle board & bocci!

If you do manage to sort out how to translate the experience to a video game, that also opens up the whole universe of 'dexterity' games like Catacombs, Pitch Car, and others.  Would love to see all of those!

Headphone jack on the controller for tv directed sounds (for single player) would be cool; for co-op, kinda defeats the purpose of Amico

Happy Sunday Everyone!

Check out this article...  it basically talks about the failure of Google Stadia and how they should stop trying to go for hardcore gamers.  My favorite line is...

"If Stadia stopped trying to compete with modern consoles and went into competition with systems like the upcoming Intellivision Amico..."

I got a kick out of that one.  Not only because we are mentioned in the same breath as a billion dollar project like Stadia... but because we were also referenced as the smarter looking company to the 800 billion dollar Google.

:)

That was a good article.  It would be interesting if Google Stadia tried competing with Amico. Thanks for sharing.

GameStop pre-order pages weren't completed til Saturday... so we are announcing the partnership on Monday instead.

Here's the updated page for the Galaxy Purple which includes description of the console, $25 Amico game card, console details and bullet points, etc.

https://www.gamestop.com/video-games/arcade/products/intellivision-amico-galaxy-purple-limited-edition-only-at-gamestop/11102038.html

You can see us as the #1 banner on the Retro Gaming section, but they are building a separate Intellivision Amico section!  This banner will also appear front and center on their homepage when everything is ready.

Pretty cool... and the first of many!

Probably not.  No reason spending resources/budget on hardcore gamers at this point.  Can think of a LOT better ways to spend our money (Keighley charges companies to be a part of it).  If he was willing to give us something for free, I'd probably do it... but as we all know... not really our initial target audience for marketing/advertising spend at this point.

Cool idea though.  I hope it does well.

Yikes!  I feel that Top Ten list was way off!  No Utopia? MLB Baseball?  Pac-Man the #1 game on Intellivision???  Really?

Oof!

:)

Maybe one day there can be a top 10 list of games for Amico.
