I can hear it now: "See this is a great multiplayer game for up to 4 kids on the Switch, sure beats the Ouya 2 ya!"

[What you won't hear] You would need 4 Switches and 4 Karts for $1200 (or $1600 for full size Switches).  Fun for the whole Rockefeller family!

Cool AR technology though, hats off to Nintendo for making something different in the gaming space.

True, its not cheap, but i can hook the sim up to the switch and drive it properly!

Im impressed so far, very well made, will be having a 2 kart race tomorrow!

Can anyone make a list of all the Amico reimagined classics confirmed or semi-confirmed that were not available on the original Intellivision?

I will answer myself. This is a preliminary list of confirmed reimagined classics that never appeared on the original Intellivision and will come out for the Amico:

- Breakout

- Missile Command

- Moon Patrol

- Pong

Feel free to add more games to it.

Totally agree the tech is impressive, this is probably the best AR toy I have seen. There are some real world practical things I worry about like the durability of the gates with family pets and such and battery life of the actual Karts but definitely cool stuff. I do love Nintendo has a tendency to try wacky things, some work and some don’t but innovation in the video game industry is pretty lacking IMHO

I'm pretty sure that people with cats just consider the cats to be track obstacles or something... I suppose they might kill the gates, though, like you said.

I said before that I thought a good license for Amico to have would be American Girl. Intellivision has already had discussions with Mattel, so it wouldn't be too far fetched. It's something that has huge brand recognition for younger girls who might not otherwise be into gaming. It's also very educational and positive.

So imagine my surprise when I see that their "Girl of the Year" this year is a gamer girl from the 80's. It's like they're begging Tommy and the team to make a game for them.

(yes, I have a young daughter who is way into this stuff.... don't judge me)

Loved @OEB_Pete s idea about a physical media list so much...I wanted to do one of my own :)

So how about these:

Game

Physical Media prediction

Cloudy Mountain

Running Man with a bow Figure

PONG

Plain White Cube

Side Swipers

Hot Wheels Car

Night Stalker

Small diorama figure of a guy running for a gun with the spider chasing him

Biplanes

Die Cast Biplane...available as Red Baron or Blue Max

Battle Tanks

Die Cast Tank

Missile Command

Missile base with spring loaded firing missiles that actually work!

Moon Patrol

What else...Moon Patrol buggy....PIMPED OUT!

Evel Knievel

Evel Knievel on motorcycle

Bowling

Bowling Pin on a keychain

When it happens I’ll mention for good measure that when “Atlantis” is ready to go...how about a snow globe of the city of Atlantis...where the snowflakes have been replaced by little missiles :)

If you haven’t checked out @OEB_Pete s new vid you can find it here:

Cheers All :)

I'd like to see the one for Night Stalker be the iconic gun that can also double as a keychain. It doesn't have to be fancy, but I think the gun is the most iconic thing. Oooh, or maybe the robot.

Tommy,

That was a great interview you did with 4 Guys with Quarters.

Agreed, great interview.  @Tommy Tallarico, one thing I have not heard in any recent interviews was how you started all this with listing everything you and the team felt was wrong with the current industry, and worked to address each one with the Amico as a system (console, game shop, partnering, curation, etc...).  I always felt that was a very powerful statement and it has stuck with me almost a full year later.

Here is a prediction - 14 days before launch there will be a breaking huge news story - “Amico has been outed as a large and intricate scam!”.

Then 13 days before launch - April fools!

It would be 1 great day for the haters (and likely their last).

There’s a joke in there somewhere regarding haters and fools, but just can’t quite pull it out...

Why limit it to just one thing? Lol! I have a feeling Tommy will create variations for the crazy collectors amongst us. Maybe a gun, a robot, a spider, the running man....

I think the gates will look like atari 2600 game boxes over time, at best.

Didn't he say something way back that retailers might get exclusive versions of the physical editions?  Personally, I think it sounds like a nightmare for completionist collectors - especially if some of those retailers don't exist in your country. But, I guess that's why I'll be sticking with 1 copy of each physical edition. Probably. Unless it's Lock'n'Chase then all bets are off.

While we are waiting, I am trying to make some guesses about the games, and the prices !

These are personal guesses, and I have no information about them in any way! 😮

First, I have divided the games into 5 categories. We can see that at the start of the console's life, retro players (the first to support the console) will be really rewarded.

11 retro imagined

 7 casual

 6 Original IP

 4 Sports and recreation

 2 Edutainment

Seeing this, it is highly likely that among the 5 unannounced games ready for launch, there will certainly be other educational games and sports and recreation games.

Maybe Darts and Bocci ?  And maybe more than one game for Sesame Streets and Care Bears, or who knows maybe "My little Pony" !?

So here is my list, with possible prices, and if we could have a physical version of the game or not.

A game like Pong, I don't think a lot of gamer will buy it at 9.99$   So I am guessing it could be 7.99$

So it's just for fun ! 😃

Also, it's possible that some games are in the wrong category ! As an example, can Emoji Charades could be in the Edutainment Category !? 🤔

Title   Category   Digital Price   Physical Game ?
Farkle   Casual   Included   No, included with system
Liars Dice   Casual   5,99 $   No
 Spades   Casual   5,99 $   Maybe
Emoji Charades   Casual   7,99 $   No
Brain Duel   Casual   7,99 $   No
Back Talk Party   Casual   6,99 $   No
Blank State   Casual   6,99 $   No
Care Bears   Edutainment   4,99 $   Probably
Sesame Street   Edutainment   4,99 $   Probably
Dynablaster   Original IP   9,99 $   Maybe
Evel Knievel   Original IP   9,99 $   Of Course
Finigan Fox   Original IP   9,99 $   Maybe
Nitro Derby   Original IP   8,99 $   Probably
Rigid ForceReduxEnhanced   Original IP   9,99 $   No
Side Swipers   Original IP   7,99 $   Maybe
Astrosmash   Retro Reimagined   Included   No, included with system
Battle Tanks   Retro Reimagined   8,99 $   Maybe
Biplanes   Retro Reimagined   8,99 $   Maybe
Breakout   Retro Reimagined   8,99 $   No
Missile Command   Retro Reimagined   8,99 $   Don't think so.
Moon Patrol   Retro Reimagined   9,99 $   Of Course
Night Stalker   Retro Reimagined   9,99 $   Of course
Pong   Retro Reimagined   7,99 $   No
Shark Shark!   Retro Reimagined   Included   No, included with system
Snafoo   Retro Reimagined   8,99 $   No
Cloudy Mountain   Retro Reimagined   9,99 $   Of Course
 Pool   Sports&Recreation   6,99 $   No
Corn Hole   Sports&Recreation   Included   No, included with system
 Major League Baseball   Sports&Recreation   9,99 $   Probably
Skiing   Sports&Recreation   Included   No, included with system
