Nice to to see Locknchase is on your list, I figured if you were to do a dot eating maze game it would be Pacman.

Happy Trails is a ripoff of Konami's Loco-motion.  That sort of puzzle game not interest you?

And you will have Armour Battle; in for Triple Action Battle Tanks but without the bouncing ammunition I'm guessing.

There will be a poker game?

There are a few different card games we are working on.  Texas Hold 'Em with everyone having their own 2 cards on the controller is going to be AMAZING!  First time ever for a video game!  REAL in person versus Texas Hold 'Em!

Also I have to say to Tommy, I have a ton of respect for you being so transparent with everything and interacting on a regular basis with the community.  I’ve never seen anything like it and wish more company leadership would do the same.

Thanks for your support.  You mean you don't want me to pack up and leave like some folks?   You must be one of those blind fanboys who can't decide anything on their own and need someone with real life experience to help save you from the clutches of evil.  :D

I like this idea. I still play Wii Sports baseball with my son and nephews and always wished it was 9 innings not 3 and had trackable stats so I could point out to them how many times I took them yard. 😂

Yeah... crazy to think that Wii Sports was really nothing more than a tech demo.  The greatest tech demo ever made!  Imagine when there will be a system that focuses on those kind of experiences... but as entire games!

Love this idea and I know the Intellivision folks have said there is going to be leader boards. I am one of the few that enjoyed Microsoft Xbox and the XSN on their first party sports titles. Wouldn’t it be neat if Amico has all sports genres and leagues like this? Maybe even customize them for AA members or have families keep stats!

Working on it!!

I was thinking. Since YouTube is all about experts droning on and on about things they have no experience in, but just claim they do, I should take a shot at that!

I'm ready to announce my Channel. Blarneo Bear's dating advice for straight guys! How to pick up chicks, women, MILFs or cougars! I never had to myself, but that only means I'm an expert! 👩‍🎨

3 seconds in... He obviously thought that Gillette, Schick, Wilkinson and Bic would fail as well. That off my chest, let me hit play again and see what other bitchy things I can say.

EDIT: Finished and I want my 10 minutes back. First off "mooketing"? I'm not familiar with the nationality of his accent.

The meandering digressions and lack of focus on a central point is jaw droppingly amateurish, The utter lack of self awareness of saying "fan-buoeys" 3 times before he says hates to use the term "fan-buoeys" is hilarious. This YouTuber (never heard of him before) is not saying anything that hasn't already been said by dozens of other YT channels, most of which have better sets than a teenage stoner's bedroom and they also have the bonus of knowing that hair can actually be cut and styled... which allows them to get laid.

I personally liked his Atari poster on the wall which you could see through his mirrored Ponch & John glasses.   :)

I would so watch and subscribe to this channel!!

I was addicted to the original Queer Eye for the Straight Guy when it first came out.  Even got a chance to meet those guys and interview them for my TV show Electric Playground.  I gotta find that tape and upload it to my YouTube channel.  Carson kept hitting on me.  It was hilarious.

Speaking of epic interviews... has anyone ever seen this one?

So many great quotes in this one.  Me & my friends always reference lines from this video.  I dare you not to LOL.  :)

And just remember... "If Tommy T. can make it then so can you!!"

"Tommy T is the place to be... if you watch TV"

dot dot dot... dot com Don King

I'm so happy Tommy T.

I love how a few of the folks haven't really heard much about it but love the idea and seem to be on board.  I used my special mind powers to convince them to like it.

They actually reached out to me on twitter and asked me to come on the show.  Will be doing the interview next week!

Also interesting to note that 80% of the people in our latest YouTuber/Influencer highlights video of 2019 I've never met and don't even know.  I guess I brainwashed them as well.

I'm like Tommy from The Who's musical Tommy!

Listening to you... I get the music... gazing at you... I feel the glory!

SEE ME...
FEEL ME...
TOUCH ME...
HEAL ME...

C'mon... y'know you wanna.

:D

Interesting note about The Who's Tommy.  Pete Townsend started writing it on the day I was born!  February 18, 1968!  And it's about a Pinball Wizard (closest thing to video games back then).

*cue Twilight Zone music*

:)

Everybody should go subscribe to him right now. He’s got like 17 videos on the thing.

Love Chris!  I keep bugging him to change his name to The Intellivision Creep.   :)

Tommy I know you.mentioned  ea wants a certain amount of consoles sold until they will license any thing. But I was thinking great sports games that they own

Mutant league football and hockey.  And why stop with them let's do what genesis dont.  Let's expand mutant league sports to wrestling and a destruction derby racing game and other sports.

I'm not sure if ea owns the license or.ig it was just the one xbox 360 game. But nba jam

Classic 2 vs 2 basket ball, but how about 3 on 3 or 4 on 4. Why not 5 on five  either as an expansion to amico to allow 10 controllers or  5  players vs 4 players and 1 cpu.

They actually don't own Mutant League and I'm friends with the folks who do.  Spoke to them last year about it.  A family friendly version would be kinda cool but may take a lot of the humor out of it.

Also going back to my nba jam idea. Tommy is amico limited to 8 players , and are you planning some expansion for more?

I'm thinking a bomberman game especially with wide screen displays today.  Sega saturn bomberman supported 10 player local multiplayer  .  Dreamcast unfortunately  was 4 player local but it had online 16 player.

The system testing shows that it can handle up to 10 controllers... but it gets a little sketchy sometimes so we say 8 as it is safe there.

Hey Tommy I was wondering if you're giving Aracde 1up the license to put out those new Intellvision Micro Consoles with the replica Retro TV's. They look really cool.

Oh yeah!  I keep forgetting to mention this to you guys.  I love what the Arcade 1UP guys do.  I have a few of their machines and they are super high quality.  I just got the Star Wars stand-up (even though I already have the full size one as well).  I couldn't help it!  And... it has Empire in there which I only have on my MAME cabinet but sucks without the real controls!

So YES!  I am doing a deal with these guys!  They will be showing a much better version at Toy Fair in NYC next month.

The pictured unit you see is only a mock-up with printed out stickers.  Also... I told them I hated the green TV and that I wanted the old classic wood console... if you look to the left... it's the one they had for the Atari.  I told them I would only sign the deal if they gave me the cool wood console TV and Atari the ugly green one.  They agreed!   Hahahhaa (I'm not even joking).

The reason I wanted the wood console TV is mainly because of this...

I gave them this pic and told them to model it just like the one I had as a kid.   :)

It's going to come with 10 classic and original Intellivision games.  We're still working out which ones to do.  Need to feel the controllers and see if they can get the keypads to work.  If not... might be limited to stuff like Astrosmash, Frog Bog, Triple Action, SNAFU, Shark! Shark!, Skiing, etc. (which would still be awesome!)  Will know more by next month.

Really excited about it.  It's going to be a super cool product that we can be proud of.

Love those guys and they are all super cool and passionate retro folks!

I watched the whole Haytham Gruxton video. I think he's more uninformed than anything. I had the same concerns some months ago: weird controller, lack of appeal for what we know as "gamers"... He will probably buy the Amico, but he's getting several things wrong:

- He assumes the console will only feature retro games, he doesn't seem to be aware of the focus on non/casual gamers at all.

- He doesn't know that Pat & Ian got many important things wrong (price, focus on non gamers, Founders Edition being "crowdfunding"...) so you had all the right to clarify that information. He apparently is not aware that it's not the first time they deliberately spread false claims to gain views or because they are too lazy to do research in advance.

- He doesn't realize that we are not defending Tommy "blindly". Many of us have expressed concerns about the controller, other "fanboys" are recommending Tommy that he ignores the controversies. Several personal attacks have been launched from both sides, but it all started with the lies about the Amico: as it stands, calling some of the users here "fanboys" because they only have positive things to say about the Amico and some of them called Pat "the curly haired one" but ignoring that a few other users, as well as Pat & Ian and most of their fans, are "haters" because they have spread lies about the console, lied about Tommy "harassing them" when he was only expressing his point of view or launched personal attacks against Tommy (i. e. implying he is "buying" youtubers or "spamming" his product in his own Q&A thread), is a biased view of the situation.

And yeah, we should all create our own Youtube channel (and, of course, make a video about the Amico to attract Tommy's attention, pretending to get a couple of things wrong about the console to make sure he invites us to his house and take us for a ride on his Ferrari). But seriously, some Youtube channels can be a great source of information, even if those don't get too many views.

It could work.  Dont think of it as say letsjust dumb down this version.  Insead take an 80s saturday morning cartoon approach  could be different yet awesome in other ways while still staying true to itself and humor.

And speaking of saturday morning cartoons  I hope you guys can get a ghostbusters game on the console.   Even cooler  would be a game based on  the real ghostbusters animated series.

It could be part shooter, but driving part platformer puzzle action adventure.  Easily a multi genre  game.

The amico controller can easily be the ghostbusters  pke meter.

Speaking of cultist activities - yesterday I was in Waco dropping a daughter to college and at a restaurant a woman actually flagged me down to ask where I got my Intellivision hoodie because her dad would love one of those. I told her just Google "Intellivision Entertainment", they have tons of stuff available and that they were also coming out with a console this year. After 40 years and being the second place console to the Atari - that Intellivision brand does still does carry a little bit of weight out there.

Haytham Gruxton has now seen the light in the Pat & Ian affair: he no longer believes that Tommy harassed them.

He still has doubts about the Amico selling millions of consoles thanks to the casual/non gamers, though, and I can't blame him... I myself won't believe it until I see it! 🍺

Yep people are screaming we are Amico fanboys but folks here know launching a new console is tough. What they interpreting as fanboy-ism is just excitement for the ideas behind this product (actually a pretty good sign if you think about it). Nobody really knows if that casual market is reachable via a console (some would argue if it still exists, although those Dance Dance Revolution sales numbers to Wii holdouts is just crazy - talk about a cult following). On the good news front Tommy is really driven, has a really strong team, good financing and a solid plan of execution. Does that mean he is going to 100% succeed? Absolutely not! However failing isn't the way the smart money would bet on this one. Too much upside if this hits either of his major demographics (casuals or young families) and his failure level on the number of units sold is pretty low considering that national launch - he might even be able to swing getting by with mostly a retro market. Also Christmas 2021 might really be the year for the Amico because it really is a 'word of mouth' sort of product and after year 1 Tommy is going to know where to put his marketing dollars much more effectively. But that is realism - which is boring - so officially back to "Amico Rulz, Haters Drool!" ;)

The Atari motto is, "Hardware is hard." 😜

It is funny how it is still worth their time to produce new Dance games for the Wii. I think it will be interesting to see the marketing unfolds here in a few months.
