Great. We agree on something

:DGreat! Now, is it okay if I repaint the room I'm occupying in your head. I promise no loud colors. Also, Ian and Pat (you know the curly haired one) they're kinda loud neighbors. :D

:D:D:D:D:D

...and now the harassment starts...

Honestly though, I am actually very happy for the *VCS backers* that Atari SA is finally showing some signs that they actually want to produce a console. They have just bungled the whole PR/updates/treating customers decently so badly many have written them off completely. I really hope the backers get what they want from the VCS so from that standpoint I am rooting for them.

Yeah... unlike "some" people here.  I hope the AtariVCS comes out and the folks who backed it are satisfied.

I guess Tommy shouldn’t really be surprised that he comes onto a mostly hardcore gamer website and after telling people for a year he is making a console and games that is/are not like the Big Three or for hard core gamers that people would still be harping away a year later about how he should be doing things more like the big three, be focused on hard core gamers and not those cell phone using casuals and make it portable like the switch rather than family focused.

Good point.  I guess I shouldn't be surprised.  But I am.

Not most people, of course, but there are always the ones that feel entitled.

Yeah. That 10 year old meme never gets old. When a congresswoman says it, it's gotta be cool kid language!🙄

Cool.  Will check it out.  Thanks for the heads up and idea.

He's right about the NWA. It has an old school free with the freshness of modern wrestling. I think there may be a game they've advertised as being ready for 2020 sometime. Think it is suppose to be the spiritual successor to the WrestleFest arcade game. It would be cool to see something like that and it the Amico controllers would work for that game.

In that games not an nwa game  . Its retromania and they are using the nwa world title and ring and champ for a story mode but they are also using other companies  like  tommy dteamers promotion. House of hardcore. It's just for that game and not an exclusive.. the only exclusive rights they have to anything will be the technos license and the matmania characters.  While that could also be a cool game that could be ported to amico with some exclusives added. Im.thinking a pure nwa power game. Wrestling games are popular  but we haven't seen much to be excited for a while with wrestling games.  Wwe 2k20 was a complete mess of a game unfinished  after one dec left they just rushed an annual sports title missing many features from the previous year and graphics that would make the last gen look at it in shame. Not counting the bugs and glitches...   plus I think amico having a great wrestling game but not tied to the wwe could be a strong standout.  And yes nwa is a true alternative to the whole wrestling scene right now and could be a fun one for amico.

I never said the Amico is not for you.  You misread my statement.  I said the Founder's Edition is clearly not for you.  And clearly it is not.

No worries.  Contrary to unpopular belief... I've never tried "SELLING" the Founder's Edition in this thread.  I only asked questions about what folks would like to see.  That was somehow construed to mean... OMG! It's a crowdfunding scam now!  2 1/2 years after we started the project.  I find it hilarious that we've sold over $30,000 in new merchandise over the past month.  How come no one said we were "crowdfunding" then??  OMG!!  You're taking money before the system comes out!!

Anyway... pointing out dumb shit that people say isn't "dividing the audience".  It's just pointing out dumb shit people say.  :)

You say you keep bringing up the pre-order thing "to prevent anyone from losing money".  What kind of police state crap is that?  You don't think people in here are smart enough to make their own decisions?  You feel the need to protect others who aren't as smart as you?

Mind boggling.

Selling merchandise that is shipped within a few weeks of order is far different than collecting $100 deposits (refundable or not) for something that isn't finalized that won't ship for ten months.  Call it crowdfunding or a paid pre-order or whatever you want, but it's very different than selling shirts and hats that you have readily on hand.

As for "police state crap", I'm not sure what that means although it sounds like a very defensive derogatory term for the same kind of healthy discussion that happened in the Chameleon and Ataribox threads.  I can't stop anyone from doing anything and people did back the Chameleon and the Ataribox regardless of all the red flags and warnings from people who could see what was coming.  Providing an opinion based on experience is not thinking I'm smarter than anyone else, but it is about having certain life experiences that not everyone has had.  People can use their own judgment about whether my concerns are valid or not.  Like I said earlier, I don't think you're running a scam and I believe you have every intention of delivering, but things can and do go wrong in even the best laid plans and taking deposits on something that isn't finalized ten months prior to launch just seems unnecessary and off-message.

Yeah, Retromania is going to cover several independent promotions, apparently, and hopefully be available on many different platforms. I hope they really make something as fun and endlessly playable and arcadey as WrestleFest.

But an nwa power licensed amico exclusive can answer all.of your questions or question all of your answers.  Tommy the question is becoming a guilty pleasure for fans right now and could easily become a fan fav character on amico.  Lol  I wonder if tommy can sell the amico in mongrovia

Lol

Tommy what about a game with a hardcore sim mode and arcade mode for gamers. Check out fire pro wrestling world (on. Steam and ps4) for inspiration heck get them to make a special fire pro for the amico  its 2d Sprite based but more a sim that's timing based instead of button mashing.  But could include an arcade mode a separate.   It's the one game you might wanna relax on the difficuly level  commandment.   It has an ai difficuly of like 1 to 20 but  also in certain game modes like  league ms which are toubd Robin tournaments  your difficulty progresses  it adds to the game  . Also you are scored on performance  not just winning  (where you win or loss matters less than how you work the. Watch much lime actual pro wrestling in ways)  but wins still matter , it's more of an achievement reward system in ways.

Even though its sim it's not difficult but has a steep learning curve to new players but easy to figure the basics after a few matches.

But an arcade mode could be added to have more fast paced fun to the game for other players.

Fire pro has mostly been a game importers went after  going back to tg16 SNES era.

Its biggest thing outside of being the best wrestling game series was the level of detail of its create a character and even arena and ring..... think Mario maker but for a fighting game.

Fire pros creation suite is top of the class.

Oh great... It looks like certain podcast has just released a new video about certain stupid debate we've just overcome here.

Let me just save you guys some 10 minutes of your life: I was lucky and started watching around the 2 minute mark, where they say that the Founders Edition is "crowdfunding", "just like the Atari VCS".

Recommendation: Ignore the guys. I think they know they are lying. Definitely trying to get views. Moving on. 🙈

That’s what I said. Some hyper-alarmist dude pushes the chameleon/ataribox panic button, the rumor is going to take on its own life in the blogosphere. Thing is, he said he didn’t want people to risk losing $100, but him and most of the others will probably waste that much on stuff they’ll use 0-2 times, like the Flashback Blast.

Also, they are taking the alarmist dudes misinformation that he wants $300 up front when it is only $100. So, good healthy discussion bojay, more misinformation spread, but I’m sure you enjoy the attention.

First Amico_Tony on Reddit tracked all of these Twitter posts down so full credit to him. Just pondering here is - is SpaceFlower's world building/trading game "Let Them Trade" maybe getting mophed into a re-imagined Utopia?

Fire Pro would be awesome! It would have be stripped though for lack of buttons. I think there was a NES version. It would have to be more comparable to that.

Side note if have some characters I made on Steam based off a card game I play. Check out a game called Go.Fight.Pow. It is a fun and simple wrestling/fighting game. Has a small and fun following. Idea was created by a guy I know who wanted to play a game with his daughter but the current game he was playing was too difficult for her.

That's where my avatar comes from. I got to make a card for one of the sets.

Online store. If you want to try it I would suggest either the Champions of Time, or IFC 1. Champions of Time was the most recent KS set. IFC is smaller and first one created.

I could probably talk the guy into using the characters on a family friendly system for a game. 😉

I think amount of buttons won't be an issue can def follow the dreamcast /saturn version control wise also dont forget the touch screen.  Still lots of potential .   It would def be it's own version of a fire pro game for sure though.  The disc could be interesting for movement

A fire pro type game would be great. Body Slam used the buttons in a good way and with new technology it should work with less buttons I would think.
