My Wife would love this game - ghost investigations is all she watches. Controller could switch to a emp recorder and other devices. awesome ideas

Cool!  Glad I'm not the only one with a wife who watches all that stuff!   :)

as i said before i am looking forward to an updated Horse Racing game on the Amico..me and my dad used to play Horse Racing together all the time and he would get a kick out of the 3 furlong races where he would coax out of the gate and kick my butt (never told him i let him lol)

we were in the harness racing industry for many years and we had so many friends that loved that game and still to this day talk about how they would play it all the time and some even said they would keep stats on all the horses lol

the thing is there has NEVER been a harness racing game on a console and only ONE harness racing PC game (Harness Racing Manager)

which is amazing because just about every genre has been covered from plate spinning to break dancing and yet no harness racing game lol

now i know there are some areas of the country that have never had a harness track or seen a harness race but where i'm from in Illinois

it has always been pretty big and there are so many people that i know that would buy an Amico instantly if there was a harness racing game

now i know that would be a niche title but maybe thoroughbred and harness could be combined..just throwing it out there

Thank you for Sharing. Yes with Horse Racing it would be nice to have several kinds of races.

I am a big fan of Horse Racing and it was one of the most played by me 37 years ago !

But let's talk gameplay ! lol

I looked at this video that I never knew existed.

Sorry for saying it, but Horse Racing is staying at the top of my list. 😉

I don't like the camera angles from Manager 2 ! 😯

I don't know how IE will reimagined Horse Racing. Will they race in circle or in a straight line as in the original ?

Whatever, for me it doesn't matter if its not realistic. If we have pink and blue horses, I don't mind ! lol   ( Like Night Stalker, it's great, we don't need the characters to be realistic. )

What I loved from Intellivision Horse Racing is that the camera focused on the leaders. (I admit that I never play with a horse, I let the computer do it because I bet! lol )

Let the horses of 3rd and 4th place disappear from the screen, and then suddenly, the one who was 4th reappears on the screen in 3rd place !

And now the first two are slowing down ! Yes, there is still hope for a victory ! I am standing and shouting at my horse ... 🤣😂😅

I still have fun with my son betting and watching Horse Racing (video game !). But watching this video from Manager 2, I did not feel that I would experience this same pleasure.

Camera in the wrong place, race too long, and too many horses. 6 or 8 horses maximum will do the job. Do you agree with me ? 🤔

But what I understand above all from your message is that you love horse racing, that there really is not much of this kind of game and we play with what we have !

And we hope that reimagined Horse Racing will be available in 2020! 😃

The view in the re-imagined horse racing game should be from a distance, like a view from the stands where you see all the horses and the whole track.

Yo!,

Thanks for the interview!  Was fun to talk to a fellow retro lover and of course... member of AA!

You should tag the video with the word Intellivision and Amico (other good ones are "retro" and of course... "Atari").  More people will eventually see it when they search.

Thanks again!

I thought I did tag it with Intellivision and Amico... will check...

EDIT: Yup, I did. I added Atari though ;)

Thanks again, it was heaps of fun!

I know that it's not everybody that can listen to all the video that Tommy is participating. I even wonder how he manages to participate in all of them! 😮  lol

For those interested, Tommy reveals some interesting things in this video sequence. (Lasts about 3 minutes).

He talks about the money in place for the manufacturing of the console, the virus in China and how it can affect the industry, and maybe the launch date.

LePionnier, you're breaking the forum (and our hearts). May we know what is the device you're posting from and the browser configuration? You definitely are adding some formatting issues in each message, man. 🤓

i just posted the video to show what the only harness racing game ever made looks like but i wouldn't want the Amico to necessarily look like that game...most of the time i was the jockey on intellivision horse racing and i would bet the horses i rode...i always liked the longer races in the mud the best..i know people who would bet real money while playing that game lol

I know that board games are going to be part of the focus, but has there been any announcements about what games or companies are on board?

This is the horse racing game that I want: Japan World Cup using the touch screen and motion control to activate special skills would be great lol

I know someone mentioned Nancy Drew, for which there are about 15 PC games, but never got past one game on a console. There seems to have been several second installments for most console releases that never happened. Not sure what this all means, but I was thinking a different twist might be to do Veronica Mars instead of Nancy Drew. Might be something for 2022 once the cash flow is replenished, as IE hasn't shown much interest in new ideas that involve studio licenses.

I guess I didn't really expect a reply, to such a question.  Oh well, keep dreaming about horses and drifting.

Strange!  It's not coming up when I search for Intellivision Amico on YouTube and then sort by Upload Date?

We haven't made any official announcements yet... but we have some really cool ones that a lot of folks will know and that using the touchscreens on the controllers are really revolutionary!

There was a cool game called Circus Maximus on XBOX & PS that was pretty cool for the time.  I had fun with it.

Could be a regional thing? I dunno.

EDIT: It seems none of the tags are working in search. Nice one, YouTube.

Any reason you didn't answer the question CPUWIZ has asked about twice now? Folks he and I converse with are worried you are not answering him cause the shell is empty of what will become the Amico motherboard in the future. That isn't the case is it?

The Xerox Alto (1973) is my new favorite retro computer. Thanks for posting that! It's amazing:

- First graphical GUI

- Amazingly simple way to reconfigure the GUI and program new apps, even with graphical functions

- First "Paint" program and it seems to work better than the ones from Microsoft 20-40 years later

- Only 2,000 were made

- $32,000 each (more than $100,000 today)

- Only one game: Alto Trek (first game to use a mouse)

Here are some interesting links:

- Yesterday's Computer of Tomorrow: The Xerox Alto │Smalltalk-76 Demo

- Wikipedia: Xerox Alto

- Category:Xerox Alto games

- Alto Trek (1978) - First game to use mouse

Dear homebrew developers of AtariAge: Please release more games for this. We need to expand this 1 game list!

If you like Xerox Alto look at this restoration videos:
