In regards to the purple... it's just a render and is going to be shinier then it shows... and the silver bands look a lot better as well.  Very difficult to do a proper render of this and we weren't ready for photographs just yet.

 

Also... the price on the Gamestop page doesn't list the extras.  Page is still being made.  More info coming tomorrow.

Hey Wolfy, I heard a rumour that after you buy that Gamestop exclusive. It's getting shipped up to Toronto .. Do you still need my address.. lol

Well let see what happens after the COVID-19, wife hasn't worked in a month because of the lock down. Im still working but can't get away with purchasing that just now. But if EB games doesn't sell them . I may take your offer . Thank You Kindly , would love to make it to your Amico party with Tommy and all the rest when ever that happens but in these times cash is tough.  I'm glad the FE per orders were released before all this.. Can't wait to receive that one though..

Would something like this be suitable on the Amico:-

A game called Split Personalities published by Domark Software in 1986 (Developer : Ernieware).  It was originally published as Splitting Images but due to the name sounding like a famous comedy show in the UK; they has to change it to Split Personalities (I played it on the ZX Spectrum but it also came out on the Commodore 64).

It is a sliding jigsaw puzzle game with arcade elements.

The tiles were 'off screen' and you could bring as many pieces out onto the playfield as you wanted (they came out in a random order).  Sometimes a bomb would come out and you had to throw it out through a side door of the playing field before it exploded or you would lose a life.

There were 10 pictures/levels of famous people to create.  It started easy and got more complicated on later levels eg with a spider on one of the walls - you had to work the tiles around it, if you throw a tile at a spider - the tile would rebound back off it and risk losing the tile through an opposite side door.

I started thinking about  how to make the game multiplayer otherwise it would not be on the Amico.

For 2 player you could have 2 square grid playing areas.  Player 1 on the left grid and player 2 on the right.  The point of this is so both players can play at the same time, and the winner will be the person who solves it first.

Possibly to spice the gameplay up a little - when a bomb comes on the screen - instead of trying to get rid of it and it disappears, a players could fire it out of one the connecting doors into the other players grid - which would then explode and delete 1 or 2 of the other players tiles

I'm a big fan of the new version, I like the purple bleeding into the blue. Although to be honest I would have  been being multiples of it either way. Lol. Just need that EB Games page to go live in Canada.

Well cant believe it. In all my 40 years of gaming ive never preordered a system.  Damn you Tommy Tallarico lol now I've ordered 2 woodgrain and now paid in full galaxy purple for my wife. Nuts. I think I'm obsessed lol.  My son is getting the gto red for himself so at least I dont have to pay for that one. 

you know i really hate being the negative one and i like tommy a lot. again I want this to succeed. and anyone else who is negative has been removed so please dont remove me. im not gonna spam stupid ass pictures.

but again, i will remind everyone. weve been given totally different renders here with no heads up. thats a big change. another big change change we were not told about. pre-order at 299.99 without prior explanation for the change or the extras. this wasn't even announced to us first. it just happened. i realize he can't tell us everything but the Atari VCS also has plenty of preorders up on gamestops website. its a milestone but its a milestone those people already hit too.

im gonna stay in camp negative as i usually do until tommy takes the time to explain to his diehards whats up. i know hes said hes busy but this is a big drop with big changes in price and render. and by the way i dont care because i already pre-ordered woodgrain VIP. but yeah. answers please.

You're being negative just to be negative. 

Tommy said there's more information going up tomorrow. The page is a placeholder dude. He didn't officially announce it to us because it was probably set for this Friday as a press-release. He's probably got more pictures he can show us or perhaps real pictures of an actual shell. 

It's 299.99 because he's adding in extras to provide pre-order value. It may be available at launch for 279.99, just not as a pre-order. If you read back just a few pages ago he said they're going to be limited to like 35,000 units. The math was something like 20,000 units that were available for October after all the fig pre-orders were done.

This isn't censorship. Learn the term. The First Amendment offers no rights to a YouTube channel.

If he get's arrested, thrown in jail and prosecuted for this video, then you'd have an argument.

Just so everyone's aware, 1001lives and LordRayken are the same person.  We just discovered he's been using two accounts to post in this and other Amico threads. If you look above, you can see his last two posts (before I permanently banned both of them) were within four minutes of each other.  What you cannot see is that they were both using the same IP.  Further research revealed that he's been doing this for a while, with both accounts posting within minutes of each other consistently, and only in Amico threads..

You know what I need... is to see a picture on the new Rev 2 Purple where the lower area of purple shows more.  Right now my eyes see a blue on top, then a grey, and I just don't capture the essence of the purple from the bottom.  Maybe if I saw it more complete I could be swayed... although that original purple was still baddass.  haha.

But yeh... that is what is happening for me... I think my brain can't make up for how the unit looks where I see more purple, less grey boarder.
