Wanted to give a shout out to this small game I found on STEAM. It's called Hellfront: Honeymoon. Very cool mini-RTS style gameplay with 4 player co-op and versus.

I'm guessing you may not be on our mailing list?   That is exactly what we did today! 

I don't mean to embarrass you... I'm just trying to figure out why someone would open with that... when that is exactly what we did today.

 

I would recommend not watching all those negative videos based on misinformation and twisting of the facts.  The only "desperate" videos I see are from the same negative obsessed ding dongs.  Even talking about my "desktop" and making up complete fabricated lies about "Banana Pie"... or the latest...  our job postings FOR ACCESSORIES AND PERIPHERALS FOR 2021 & 2022.  Desperate videos stating that you don't need an Amico console or our controllers to play our "mobile" games is pathetically dumb and shows that people spend more time on trying to come up with negative spins as opposed to actually... oh... I don't know... doing ANY research what-so-ever.  How about desperate videos claiming that we don't have a working machine and working system and firmware when we've already showed the entire thing working back in March (see our Missile Command & Sideswiper videos).

Yes... they are desperate.... not us.

 

We are holding back all information because we're doing a big streamed online press conference (more info coming soon!). 

If we do get delayed (will know by the end of this month) then people are more than welcome to give up their Founders Editions or VIP Editions.   I'd rather put out a system that is 100% fun, tested and WORKS than to just rush it out based on a special personal date to me that I picked 3 years ago.

You are correct. Not a single person was banned from here because they had a difference of opinion or they didn't like me or Amico.  They got banned because they didn't follow the forum rules.  Maybe @jaybird3rd can give a few general overviews of WHY people were banned.  It's not what those folks are saying... that's for sure.

 

Anyway... I know you're not interested in a back and forth argument... and I hope this response doesn't come across that way.  Just giving you some real info as to the reality of the situation.

As for the golden tickets... how were they procured? Would I have been assigned one when I pre-ordered the founders edition? Sorry for the dumb questions, been away from the forum for a bit. Lol.

He can’t help it - Canadians are all known for their rudeness and his YouTube channel was titled as SOB Pete until YouTube made him change it. I know *we* would never leak any of that video before the official launch 🤣

Ok, I need to say something that has been bothering me. *Disclaimer* Please understand that I'm a founder, and I have been ALL IN on this system from the start. Even if all of the things I'm about to say are ignored or hated, I'm still going to enjoy and promote the hell out of the Amico to anyone who will listen. Maybe that's why I feel like I should chime in, because I am rooting so hard for its success. 

 

It's the animated Amico logo. The colors are great, and the fonts and movement of the letters are cute and family friendly as intended. But there is just a lot going on. I think it lasts about twice as long as it should for a start up logo (think original PSX or 'SEEeeeegaaa' and how memorable and quick they were). The varied sound effects, specifically the 'boing boing' noises toward the end smack heavily of some 90's kids show where everyone is getting unnecessarily messy or an obnoxious commercial for super sour fruit roll ups or some shit where everything is EXTREME and the camera goes in and out and the adults are squares but not us we are cool and cross our arms with neon sunglasses cause the adults couldn't possibly handle how sour these treats are and ITS TOTALLY EXTREEEEEEME!!!!  The little kid saying Amico! at the end also seems out of place (sorry, Tommy, I think you may have mentioned that it was your nephew or something). It kind of gives a 'kiddie' vibe instead of appealing to a broader family dynamic as intended.

 

I may be way off base and in a small minority. Perhaps others agree with some of it. Tommy, feel free to tell me how focus testing totally says the opposite and I'm just being curmudgeon-y and need to get over it. I can do that

I like it.  Didn’t have much affinity for the logo at first (before the animation sequence), but it’s grown on me.  I see more in it the more I look at it.  And the voice at the end?  My hope is that they may eventually consider some way to incorporate a voiceover for that... I think the kid on mic is adorable, but there is no substitute for gifting this to the grands, they turn it on for the first time, and it’s their own grandchildren saying “Amico!”... or “Let’s play a game!” or “Aaah, stop touching me!”... whatever 🙂.  Take that simple principle and move it to the intros for games... that can be a very personal touch.  
 

post-publish edit:  Tommy mentioned back in a April the logo is written into the chip on board, soooo, it’s a logistical nightmare.  BUT, if they dropped everything, maybe it could happen.  You, know, once they actually begin building the firmware, hire the guy who sits in a room with a hammer banging hardware/testing, or wherever current speculation is about where they are in the process.. 🙂. Just saying, priorities!
