One other thought from today’s presentation... did you notice there were about two dozen “thumbs down” for it before it even started?

I get that some people have an obsession for disliking Tommy and/or the Amico that borders on perhaps needing professional help, but at least be subtle about it and wait for the video to start before you frantically mash that “thumbs down” icon. Geez... both hilarious and sad.

It's actually only 3 people with 4 fake accounts.

I'll try to ignore the incorrect spelling of Lode Runner and say it’s mightily impressive how quickly they put something up from this morning’s event. Great coverage!

I just let him know and I'm sure he'll fix it.  Thanks for bringing it up!

Tommy, will Blank Slate be translated to all languages?

A literal translation of that game would not be a good idea and, instead, translators should choose words in Spanish, Arabic, Italian, Japanese, French... that can combine with other words to create combinations or a single, longer word. I hope it's translated and they do a good, creative job with that, because the game looks fun.

We are doing a few different language versions based on what the Blank Slate board game has already done.  And yes... things needed to be changed for certain languages.

:)

I saw some other game clips I liked as well, however the Biplanes footage made my day great all by itself. Thank you!😃👍

I was excited for people to see that one.  We spent a LOT of time getting the mechanics just right.  It's all about the stall and recovery.  :)

Now we're starting to focus on the visuals.  Many more months still to go!

@Tommy Tallarico, whats the address for mailing in the MP challenge?  Not seeing ability to upload a pic within the web site contact.  Sorry, not on FB or Twitter.

To everyone else, as an FYI the SS with my high score posted earlier is not my highest score, always got to keep one up the sleeve,  just sayin.

Hi!,

Will be announcing it on Monday.

The small teases of the finished console design was highlight for me. The vintage woodgrain is top notch, if I say so myself...can’t wait for the full reveal!

It looks SO better in person too!!

They need to work things out with their mothers, wives, boss or all three, judging by their behavior.

Me too! I'm really looking forward to this, Dynablaster and Skiing (among a load of others). Skiing was literally the game that made me pre-order the Founder's Edition and I can not wait to play it! Astro Smash looks really cool now too.

Anyone else have an issue with the mouse in Breakout? I can't get the paddle to the bottom of the screen. It stops about 2/3 of the way down... I shall try keys as it looks fan-f-ing-tastic.

EDIT: No keys but mouse is working fine now - false alarm, LOL.

EDIT 2: It's stopped working again :(

There are definitely some personality disorders going on when you spend so much time focusing and commenting on something you hate so much.

But it also shows how important and interesting Amico has become.  You know what would suck... if no one talked about it because no one cared.

In their own little way they are part of us and what we're doing... whether they like it or not.  We are interesting and exciting to them and they spend just as much time on us each and every day as some the positive folks.  Very cool if you think about it.

Fortunately for us, they are a very very small handful of folks (with confirmed multiple fake accounts) who are mad because they got banned from this thread for breaking Atari Age rules and being warned multiple times before getting the nuke.  Tells ya all you really need to know about these folks and their personalities... doesn't it.

:D

Loved the gameplay and hardware videos. Dying to see the reimagined Imagic games like Microsurgeron and Beauty & the Beast among others. Baseball sneak peek at the end of the video was a nice touch, just enough to wet your appetite and want you seeing more.

Thank you! Hardly the world’s most pressing issue, I admit, but as a huge fan of the game, the mis-spelling stood out like an ugly cold sore and a prom date’s mouth. (Not speaking from personal experience, if anyone is wondering.)

And as a very nice bonus, after the second paragraph there’s a video-ad insert of Stevie Nicks which I’ll never, ever complain about.

Tommy,

In the re-imagined Night Stalker, when the invisible robots show up, will there be a way to know where they are?  I never played the original, so I was wondering with the new version if you can know their location via some kind of hint on screen?  Maybe the controller vibrates to let you know they're close by?  Or the controller lights up a certain color?

a heat signature would be cool for that... like vapors or what Predator looks like.

Finally watched the video today.  It was very impressive to see the behind-the-scenes of the design and what went into it.  I always wondered what it took in modern society to design something new, and innovative and how much thought goes into it.  It was great to see some of the 3d modeling and what some of the inner workings of the design look like, thanks for that.  As with any new console, you often wonder how well it's made and how long it will last... looks like the Amico is built for the long-haul.  The controller looks well made, and with all the little faucets that you guys designed into it, appears to be one impressive piece of gaming technology right in your palm.

I'm happy to see big name manufacturing going into the production as well.  Qualcomm and Ark are both very good/solid name brands when it comes to technology.  Ark has always been the supporter of producing both smaller and larger design projects, along with very good quality in most anything they produce.  Great choice.  I guess I need to buy more Qualcomm stock!!

Game video was great.  So much pop to many of the games.  Some have a little too much, but I can see games like Skiing, AD&D, Nitro and Biplanes being a lot of fun right out of the "box".  Looking forward to those.   Good to see a large genre menu as well.  Kids, teens, adults and seniors all look like they're well represented.

Thanks for the video, I'm looking forward to more and can't wait till April!

Great videos Tommy.  Loved the HW one especially and the attention to durability in the design. Was exactly what I was hopping to see.

SW video was exceptional as well. Bi-planes in particular has got me pretty excited. Also noted the cars in Nitro Derby appeared to not be so out of control, and really looking forward to that one as well.

Load Runner, Bump ‘n Jump and Burger Time; well those were just the cherries (or maybe I should say the cheese) on top.

10/10 was a 10 out of 10, despite the live stream technical difficulties; it is still 2020 after all.

Great job to you and the team!

I really enjoyed both videos of the 10.10. event. Especially "Biplanes" is very promising.

I like the original versions of "Shark! Shark!" and "Night Stalker" a lot so I'm really looking forward to the new Amico versions.

I know the shown footage is WORK IN PROGRESS EARLY GAMEPLAY DEMOS but both "Shark! Shark!" and "Night Stalker" are in development for some time now, as they where shown in early demos already.

I noticed two things in particular that I don't like, and where I did not see a progress in the new demos.

- The movement of the Shark! is not elegant.

- The spider in "Night Stalker" looks like a quick draft drawing, that has not a proper line joint at its legs.

Is there any improvement planned or am I simply too picky?
