Intellivision Amico - Tommy Tallarico introduction + Q&A

Im interesting in hearing how well the average smart phone ( with the button addons) works with the console. If they work well, then I would think an area to explore would be to simply have one version of the console sell without any controllers.  Just the console for say 99 bucks and allow people's existing smart phones to be their controllers.  This allows an option for people who dont want to or cant spend 250 bucks.  This knocks down one of the largest purchasing barriers and makes the amico even more likely to reach the masses, but again it all comes down to how well the smart phone works as a controller.

I know I mentioned this once before a long time ago.  But I think it would be awesome if we got a glow in the dark Amico console with glow in the dark controllers.  Or maybe transparent colors like on the N64.  If Tommy decided not to do this for Amico, then perhaps for when he brings us the Vectrex.  One can only hope.

Wow.  That was really amazing to watch.  He's very good.  Maybe he could do a Glass Amico.

3 - Shows a big enemy on the screen. Great color

6 - Shows many things on the screen at the same time. And clearly a "different level",and play mechanic

5 - Shows different kinds and sizes of enemies on the screen. Clearly a "different level."

A few runner ups as well. But I like the idea of not having the same color palette across all screenshots.

First: Super cool you are asking for people's opinions, what other console company does that?

Second: "were done for the back of the box for the physical version of the game that will be sold in stores". Not exactly unexpected, but I think this the first confirmation of actual boxes for at least some of the physical games.

And here are my choices:

#1 - Shows seasonal change, critical to the game mechanics - I think you have to show this for Finnigan

#3 - Nice, unclutter boss battle pic (shows the game has them & is easy to see even if the image is small)

#5 - Shows more variety of enemies and scenes to let people know this isn't just a forest setting. If not this one, then #6, I just found 5 more visually striking.

I would pick 3, 6, 8. 😀👍

3, 5, 6 and 8. They show a boss, different items being used and different worlds. The last image has a Jack and Beanstalk vibe. Edit - I know you said 3 but I didn't want to leave off 5. 

Not sure if anyone has seen it or played it, but Cozy Grove is worth checking out. It's like a haunted version of Animal Crossing. The music is good and I really like that you don't have to invest a lot of time into it. It's good to see others create games that are engaging but allow you to have your own pace and not be an absolute time suck. I thought this article was a nice overview and appreciation for what the game is.
