yeah, Im not feeling the graphic choices at all in Cloudy Mountain, but hell my favorite restaurant in the world has stuff I dont like on the menu as well, so I look forward to the next reveal.

I heard PS5 games and I assume Xbox Series X games will be $70?  Not sure if this is true but I wouldn't doubt it.  I was wondering if the game pricing would increase with next gen.  No surprise there.  Lol.  This just makes the Amico & it's cheap games all the more tempting.  The Amico can't arrive soon enough.  I wish it was 10/10 already.  

I thought this was interesting.  I agree, games should be shorter.  Who has time to devote 1,000 hours to a game?  Lol.  

With games on Amico, you just jump in and jump out.  Nothing like short and sweet.

You have good timing! Check out this article that talks about just this thing! Funny that the author seems to think it is a good thing, or at least gives it a pass because of inflation.

Thank you!  And that was a good article.  Thanks for sharing.  I know one thing, I'm not going to pay $70 for a game.  That's nuts.  I thought $60 was too much.  Some games aren't worth it and you end up getting ripped off in the end.  Furthermore, you pay $60 but it's only half a game.  The rest is downloaded to the console via an update.  Best to wait for a sale or buy the game used.  Amico is going to win with game pricing.  I think the most a physical game will be on Amico is $20 to $30?  I'd rather spend that than $70.  Plus I know I'm getting the full game without the micro-transactions & those long updates.

It is very much a product of the original. In fact I have heard a couple of people say they knew the game, one couldn't remember the title even, just from the look. Although it certainly isn't the typical more medieval styled top down dungeon crawler, I think the clean esthetics will add a lot of approach-ability to more casual gamers. Instead of having to explain to aunt Matilda that she is the "this little character here (pointing to the screen), the druid with a cape, no that is a skeleton, you are HERE" - you can just say "you are little red running dude". BTW the other top down game is the well regarded Hammerwatch.

It is kind of hilarious that the hater narrative has gone from "Tommy is probably designing the hardware himself in his garage" to "why is he still hiring engineers, they must be in trouble if the *all* the engineers they got isn't enough". Wow, Tommy can't you get this right? First no engineers, now too many! 🤣

Looks good.  There's something shooting back in this one.  By the way, the players are modeled after the intellivision football sprites, helmets and shoulder pads.

Because that's explaining what Tommy is saying about real casual gamers from test with focus group, etc. ( Not those playing Animal Crossing, they are not so casual )

When Tommy is saying that the simplest thing for us in a game may not be so simple for many other players ! (Sometimes it's hard to imagine for us)

That's what it reminds me of when looking at this sequence.  (It's not when the girl misses her throws, it's after that !)

That reminds me, I'm budgeting about for up to about 10 game purchases on launch day.  Assuming aside from the 6-7 freebies, if they still have about 20 or so at launch I should be able to find something for my taste

What's everyone else budgeting for?  Obviously won't buy everything and it has to interest me.  It's one of the reasons why I can't wait to see more official news on launch titles, so I can figure out in advance what I'm gonna buy.  Og course hoping even more for a pre-christmas release.

I will buy every single game and buy all launch titles on day 1 to support the console and because even the games that I might not purchase normally If they were on another console might be very fun with couch coop, leaderboards etc added, and I want to check them all out. For the moment I only buy the occasional switch game so I can afford to buy it all !!!! I’ll take my FE , the bag , 6 extra controllers and all of the launch games on day 1 😜

I understand that and I have no problem with the fun simple gameplay, I just dont agree with using 1980 graphic art design in a 2020 game.  I just personally dont like that art direction at all in this game.  I would of preferred something with some real art design along the lines of the game below

I think this game looks fantastic but your opinion is understandable  since we all have ideas on how we hope certain games will look. I love the look of all of the games I have seen so far. It’s like a retro-modern style to me !

yeah, Im not sweating it, its just one game and if I end up liking and enjoying 25% of the games offered I will be happy and who knows, perhaps they'll be other dungeon crawlers.
